It shows up on both sides in CAD models so it's possible that you're missing one though not sure why you would be. My best guess is just a water chute but honestly have no clue either.

It looks like it depends on whether or not you have the 2.3 or the 2.7.

Maybe something to do with turbo? 1 vs 2 being 2.3 and 2.7?

If Ford was that into plastic drain channels, they could have included one for the AC condensation. I'm going to end up making something for our BB 2dr. The sound of condensation hitting the hot exhaust is annoying.

That's the carbon treader fluctuator.... Ford has a patent on it I think.
