My thought is to get a pair of Sas fenders that I leave factory black. Take off my factory fenders (big bend) and paint them body color. The ease of switching the fenders out makes it possible to have multiple sets. I'll put the larger sas fenders on for gravel days- and keep the painted fenders on for paved road driving. Not difficult or complex to paint, really.
The issue is wear and tear, ability to withstand debris.
I have the Sas package on my BL, and the rear flares are already eaten up with rock damage with only 6500 miles on them.
If you never plan on driving in gravel or off any pavement, sure!
