Went to adjust the brackets and found this. I have a few other paint issues including nicks in the paint on the top edge of the rear door and nicks from the softop frame, but this looks like separation to me. Just trying to see if anyone else has had this.

Paint didn't bite into the base metal. Install bolts and torque down, voila, you find out your paint robots suck.

I was putting my soft top back up today and looked at the mounting brackets because I saw your thread.

I have that issue too…super frustrating. I’m curious if more would be willing to check out theirs to see if this is a common paint issue.

Ignorance would’ve been bliss on this cause I had no clue that I have this issue, wouldn’t look at it while washing, and likely would never pop my head up there. Only reason I looked was because of your post.

I’m going to say something when I bring it in for its first oil change. What are you plans for getting it looked at?

This would be an obvious warranty issue, right?

I already have several paint issues they gotta handle from nicks on the roll bar, to nicks in the paint at the rear door seal (pictured), and the back bottom corner of the rear door rubbing the door sill on both sides, which I believe is also a common issue.

It's a great vehicle that rides and drives great. Just seems to be some quality issues with it. Nothing that can't be fixed though.

Hopefully, at the very least this thread gets more people looking at different areas on their bronco they normally wouldn't see and allow them to get paint issues taken care of before they really become a problem. Thanks for the input everyone.

Wow. I have not seen that before. Hopefully they get you a new one and get it on fast. Dealer took 2 weeks for both recalls and a steering wheel. The child safety locks worked fine too. So really just the windshield recall. They haven't even touched the paint yet.
