Anyone know of any custom engine tunes

Just out of curiosity, is anyone aware of any vetted custom tunes for the 2.7 Bronco? I'm not talking about piggyback tunes like the FP and JB4, but full-on custom ECU tunes. I would rather not have my engine go sky-high considering the track record of the 2.7 isn't stellar, but I'm still curious...

Guess I don't know exactly if that fits "custom ECU tune" or "not have my engine go sky-high". The Whipple I think is Ford approved.

Of course Ford's Procal Tune. It writes to the ECU and also improves shift points as well to let you change tire sizes and other corrections.

Livernois creates the Ford Performance tune fyi, they have 4 decades of experience working directly with Ford.

No one is offering custom tunes. Livernois offers one for the raptor but like mentioned they only do it in house. I have called countless Canadian tune shops and no one has one. CRP offers 53mm turbo upgrade and they recommended shops to me but still a no go as of now.

International Dyno Authority tuned a Bronco 2.7 to 423hp and 507ft ft lbs at the wheels. The Bronco had Downpipes, FMIC, CAI, and a JB4. The crazier thing is the baseline Dyno pull (with all the upgrades) was 222hp and 285 ft lbs at the wheels. So apparently a custom tune makes all the difference. I'm looking forward to more custom tunes being available in the US.

Having to go to them for it is a deal breaker for me, 1,244 miles one way, I also need a 2.3 tune.

The Ford Performance as well as the Whipple calibration aren't piggybacks. They are full flash calibrations which tune both the engine and the transmission. Although they aren't really considered "custom" tunes they are the best options for increasing horsepower, torque and changing shift points. There's many other benefits that the Ford Performance and Whipple calibrations offer as well.

We have tons of customers running both of those tunes with great results.

SCT is in process of releasing custom tuning for the Bronco. Still waiting for this myself.
