Anyone know the cost of a 1966 Bronco when it was new?

The reason for this is... say it was $15,000...do you realize that would be about $120,000 today?

This would beg the question "is today's G6 bronco over priced?"

Cars are also more expensive relative to what they were 50 years ago because of safety regulations, comfort features, etc. You’re buying more car now.
However, I think a lot of people would say you’re buying less car because of the new bronco will just not be the same (no V8, have to follow emissions regs etc).

The new bronco has 2-3 times more horse power than the original and disconnecting away bar. So yes?
Also, they have roll bars. I won’t squish my kids when I take a digger. That’s worth it alone.

Only lap belts if they had them. The original Bronco was a parts bin vehicle from Ford. Parts came from the Falcon, Mustang, & F-100 vehicles.

For what it’s worth I would trade a lot of modern conveniences to have that PTO setup.

I'd compare it to the price range of modern SUVs. They are all in the $30-$40K range. No Standard SUV is currently priced around or below $20K.
