The good thing about most of these dealerships is that if you return in a few months, they have a whole new salesforce.

My dealer has a guy who’s been there long enough that he has assistants lol. I tried to buy a lightning from him 20 years ago but it didn’t work out, dreams of a 19 year old making $10/hr lol

I think every dealership has a couple salespeople making 6-digits, and the rest of 'em pick up the scraps. I was one of those scrap-picker-uppers back in the day.

When it was time for me to order by Bronco, my sales rep at the dealer said I didn't even have to come in if i didn't want to, just send him the build from the website via email. He responded with a confirmation of the build and an agreement for the price (MSRP+Doc Fee ) that they wanted met to agree to before they placed the order so there wasn't haggling later. After he answered a few more of my questions, I agreed, and am happy that they did this on their own so i don't have to get 'surprised' later.

It was the same for me, but I also told him I don't wear a mask so...

i've never had to give my keys during a deal. also, i wouldn't make a deal or talk about making a deal until my keys are in my hand. if they don't want to give them back, then i'm not talking or looking at anything. thats a sleezy tactic that will lose my business.
