Anyone placed BF Goodrich Ko2 tires on OuterBanks?

Changing the tires on the OB makes a hell of a difference. If you want to stay on a budget, I think most would agree that would be the most impactful change.

However, ditching the wheels and tires is most ideal, at least in my opinion.

It’s funny to me that everyone loves these RTR wheels (which are cool!) but hates the OBX wheels.

The offset of the OBX wheel is the nonstarter for me. Lots of options for modding to suit different tastes.

In process for calibration. Might do it today depending on time and if my forscan license is still good I here they are having issues with purchasing licenses right now. This says it’s so close to me it’s negligible and almost not worth the hassle.

Have the KO2 275/70/18, very happy. Feels more stable and looks good.

I definitely think this is the right tire size for the 2-door. I’ve always thought SAS looks overstuffed on a 2D.

I went from stock OBX (255/70/18) to the 285/65/18. I believe the difference at 60mph was 0.9 mph. Not recalibrating for such a negligible amount.
Im glad someone posted their stock wheels powder coated. Looks great. Likely head that direction at the next tire replacement.

I’m curious - how much has everyone made from reselling the stock duelers after swapping? Convincing the wife to agree to the expense of replacing brand new tires will be hard enough, but reselling them to recoup some of the cost would soften the blow for sure.

The B6G community basically sees them as throwaways, but surely there’s someone who’s using this as a good quality tire—maybe even an upgrade from stock—for a pickup or SUV

There’s always Facebook Marketplace or Craig’s List. Was more curious if any actual tire shops would offer a credit in trade? That sort of thing.

Discount Tire gave me a small credit for mine (4 with 6k miles, 1 with none). My dealer wouldn’t give me a credit even when new. I would call your dealer and local tire shop and ask - Discount Tire gave me the most (but only $200)

BTW I went w General Grabber ATX in 275/70/18 in passenger load which saved me a lot of weight at each corner. Haven’t taken off-road yet but so far so good around town. Quiet thus far (low bar in these noisy beasts) but I also know that can change over time. My buddies KO2s just markedly increased in volume after 25k.

I sold the entire package 5 rims/tires/sensors with 2100 miles on them for $700. Seems near me the stock OBX rims are plentiful for sale. And I just wanted them gone. I listed for $1000 or best. Meaning my upgrade to BL rims/tires and sensors cost me $500 they had 1500 miles on them.
