Anyone placed BF Goodrich Ko2 tires on OuterBanks?

So original rims ? What’s the tire and size ? How you find it drives over the original setup ?

I am running 33.5" no lift, crash bars still untouched.

Just took delivery of my OBX this week. New Cooper AT3 XLTs go on Monday. Was torn between the 275/70/18 and the 285/65/18s, but went with a 285/65/18 with original wheels. Decided on the 285/65s instead of 70s because of concerns rubbing, speedo issues, etc. Similar height but over an inch wider than stock 255s. Clearly that wheel well needed to be filled. I’ll post pics after install. Now …. Keep the cloth or go with Katzkin’s? Hmmm…..

Slim and TKX, both look outstanding. Funny, mine is also Area 51 4-door. Gives me a great idea if what to expect. Planned on swapping out with an all black Method wheel, but i figured Id let my wife destroy the factory wheels at Walmart/Home Depot/grocery store first.

Nope the are only .7” taller than the stock set the offset of the wheel brings the tires almost flush with the flares. Still tucked a little bit. But visually made a big difference to me they are 285/70/17

Changing the tires on the OB makes a hell of a difference. If you want to stay on a budget, I think most would agree that would be the most impactful change.

However, ditching the wheels and tires is most ideal, at least in my opinion.

285/70/17 with no lift and crash bars are still in. I have no plans to lift, so the 33” tire works well.
