Are the Bilstein shocks worth it?

I added 6112 today. I normally don’t post, but I was so impressed with the ride quality I had to share. It’s a completely different truck than the factory Sasquatch coilovers. No more nose dive when stopping. No more rattling my teeth over pot holes. What a difference. Only complaint is the printed lift heights. The rear yielded .25” less than printed, so I had to lower the front to level the truck.

I recently replaced the stock shocks on my 2DR Badlands, non Sasquatch, with Bilstein 6100's. I also added 35x11.5R17 (c rated) Wildpeak A/T4W tires. I am happy with the swap.

I went with clip position 5 in the front and got about 2 1/2" lift. On the rear I went with clip position 1 and got about 1" lift. I now have about 1/2" of rake. I do have 100+ pounds of weight added to the front via winch, winch mount and an ARB dual.

Was there a reason you didn't install the bump stops? I am not sure that is a great idea if you plan to go offroad.

I have a stupid question. I’ve read where some people keep their oem springs when upgrading to 6112s. Is there a risk with this?

I have non sasq Badlands

People are keeping the Sasquatch springs for use with 6100s. For non-squatch broncos you should probably get 6112s which include the springs.

For this discussion,
NON-Bilstein = Hitachi shocks.

For certain, NON-Bilstein 2drs cannot use the 6112's for some reason. They end up with something like 3.6" of lift up front, minimum.

I think , but have not yet 100% confirmed, 2dr NON-Bilstein Broncos need to purchase the Sasquatch (or Badlands??) springs and use the 6100 shock.
(again, not 100% confirmed, but I think we can also use the Eibach springs also )

Let's see if I can get this to load properly.... the same info is also posted at Bilsteins web site.
