Howdy gang

Has anyone ever experienced, when the at temp is under 130, when pulling to a stop the transmission scrapes loud. like its skipping out of gear. Out of curiosity, while i drive i shift the gears from 1 to 2 with the shifter button at the top. both scrape while shifting up and down. once passed 130ish degrees at temp this does not happen.

I am considering getting the fluids changed to see if it fixes the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds like possible fluid pump cavitation due to low fluid level. I would get it checked ASAP.

Dropped off on Saturday, no call by Tuesday.

Up against it as I'm paying for a rental.

Call today, says they will call back in a few minutes...no call back...call an hour later...they will call when he gets back to his desk.

No indication at all of what has been done or where they are in the process.

Rental car lapses Thursday at 3...no loaner until they determine its a warranty covered issue.

What are the standards here set for customer service?

Was told nothing of what I had requested was done.

Instead of following the field service bullied for the short drop window, they "recalibrate"...we hold the window button up...

The transmission, nothing has been done. They failed to write down the notes I gave. They are indicating that they cannot replicate it...because the notes were either not recorded or they simply just didn't read them.

Without question this is THE worst customer service I have ever had. Makes you wonder much Ford follows through with their commitment to customer service.

Update, the customer service liason was able to get a straight answer out of the techs and bring about an amicable solution. She wins MVP.

Good news, I will be granted a loaner. Huge W

The transmission side, they cannot look at the truck until Friday. Honesty is perfectly acceptable, you can plan around honesty.

Window issue, sent over the document(see attachment) for the short drop fix.

Might as well have them update the wiper motor firmware too while it's there. Did you get the letter in the mail for that one?

Fortunately they got to that during an earlier trip. its been quite the journey.

Update: Day 6

No Update from the shop. The loaner is due back on the 8th.
Day ?
I have lost track of the time, the loaner has been extended until the 15th no questions asked.

I suspect I am in warranty purgatory, there has been no solid update on the transmission other than they know what the issue is.

They did indicate that the 'seat belt recall' was addressed and that they may have fixed the window.

Not all hope is lost, the fight goes on.

And here we are, a month in. They have extended the loaner yet again! At this point im starting to consider taking the truck back.
