So the fine folks over at Autopian have an interesting read on how a lot of audio systems installed in today's vehicles are all sourced from the same supplier but (mostly) just badged/branded to provide the illusion of differentiation. Not surprising to anyone that is into HiFi (or whatever the kids call it today) as we've watched Harman gobble up audio companies one after another (and I'm not a Harman hater, my FIRST integrated amp was an HK, LOL - but boy that was some time ago!). There is a call out to the B&O system that Ford is selling as "premium" though this *specific* reference is to the Bronco Sport; I can't imagine that Ford kicked in any bigger bucks to make the non-Sport model systems any different.
