I never did find the headlight wires. I just used ground and one of the aux wires, so it is on when the car is running and the switch is on.

Which AUX switch did you use? Couldn't find the amp rating for the LED strip anywhere.

Not a lot of photos out there of the lightshield pro, so either nobody cares or nobody has uploaded photos yet so here goes.

Price: $249.99

AVS has three basic types. Note there are a few more types without lights.
No lights
Marker lights similar to Raptor, but on hood
Pro lights w/ sequential turn signals

I went for the pro after watching a review that showed the non pro model to have a cheap light strip. Having installed the pro, I’m not sure there is any difference.

First step is to apply the light strip to guard with supplied tape. The issue here is the light strip ends have to bend quite a bit to meet the deflector surface. They don’t bend, so you wind up with the ends proud of the deflector. Not great, but I’m hoping it will be ok. If I have to I guess I can silicon the void and redo it all.

Next step is to adhere the deflector. Pretty straightforward, but two people would have been nice to help center and pull the tape liner. I wish the center of the deflector was marked to help out. and the leading edge extended a bit more to help conceal the wires and hood lip.

Wiring was straight forward, but I only hooked up an upfitter switch and ground. I’m not sure about the animated turn signals. There are two 8mm weld nuts above the aux wiring pigtails. I tapped both and used one to bolt a ground distribution block, and the other to terminate a 10ga ground lead to the block. I wrapped the wires in loom and ran it inside the hood to the hinge. A 1” square piece of foam tape is supplied to conceal the wires as they wrap around the leading edge of the hood. The foam immediately fell off.

If anyone is interested I can update with better pictures and videos.

I have this light bar in a parts box somewhere because as you said, the ends flare out and leaves the adhesive susceptible to elements. I reported it to AVS and they didn’t seem to understand the issue, but they did send me a light ‘rope’ that had the 5 lights stationary. I was a little ambivalent about the turn signals, so stationary lights are fine…but it does bother me to pay full price for a ‘pro’ product and wind up with something less than that.

I installed this on a friends Wildtrak, same thing. She called them and they sent her the same non-flexible light strip.

I powered mine with aux switch 6.

I keep thinking I’ll hook it up permanently with the indicators, but I kinda like the ability to turn it off. My nephews get a real kick out of seeing it flash like KITT when it is energized.

Hey everyone! My friend Justin Holcomb, owner of Austin Auto Spa connected my AVS Lightbar Pro last week and has graciously shared some more detailed information. I’m hoping this helps, but for more info please reach out to him.

Hello,
I've installed my AVS pro and I get hyper flash signals now. Does anyone kown how to stop that? It hyper flashes 50/50. Sometimes it will work with no issues, and they hyper flash signals come on.

Also! Water got into my led strip. I have to reinstall :0/. I complained to AVS and they gave me full refund with a new strip. So many issues for 200 something bucks.

The worst part is the hyper flash

To keep the lightbar from flaring out on each end, I drilled 2 holes behind where the lightbar lands, and ran a zip tie and pulled it tight on both sides. No issues now, and it’s barely noticeable.

The LED is such low amperage i just used the lowest rated switch. If you're running it in parallel to the lights you just use that fuse, but again because the amperage of an LED is so low you don't really need to worry too much. Definitely wouldn't put in a bigger fuse because the wires are going to be prone to shorts because as the hood opens the wires will eventually perish.

When I installed my pro I knew about the ends sticking out do before I installed it I drilled two holes on each end abd used a zip tie to secure the ends. Worked oitngreat.
