If they dont throw the Focus RS drivetrain at this thing and make a modern day Syclone they are missing the boat.

the chatter on the Maverick site is all about the 2.0L.
I'd be hoping it would get the Lincoln Corsair 2.3L. It's just a gussied up Escape after all.
If I were getting a Sport, a bolt in engine upgrade would be attractive down the road, the 2.3L with a tune might be fun. Spraptor.

What the heck is the point in that, unibody, IRS, 2L engine? Making a less desirable Ridgeline does not make marketing sense. I swear America roadways are increasingly looking 3rd world.
