Yeah, definitely aimed to be "Best In Class" Compact, despite them calling it "Mid-size". It will be competing with the Maverick, Ridgeline, and Santa Cruz...

Despite the disdain of some here for the Gladiator, It's a real truck that can do truck things that the Rampage won't be able to. The Rampage won't be competing with the Gladiator.

The Gladiator's only competition (since is different than any other current truck) will be the Ineos Quartermaster, although the $20k-$30k priice differential means the Q's market breathes different air and drinks different brews. Lol

Uglier than the Santa Cruz. Word to the designer. Start looking for a new career. Current one is on the chopping block.

You know what would be novel? A pickup truck with TWO DOORS. I'd bet people would flock to that dealer to line up for something unique like that! For those of us who don't need room for 4-6 people, a 2 door hits the mark just fine. They're easier to park in a garage, give more carrying capacity (not people, cargo) and just look better in my opinion.

(unleash the haters now)

Having owned a few two door pickups, I won't be going back to one.
