I have a bunch welded on and will be adding more, it’s good and beefy where it needs to be.

Welded on you say? Interesting. Good to hear some positive feedback. Pretty sure I'll be placing an order as they're about to fab some more.

I have a set of shock skids from them, good design and quality build.

I wanted to protect the low connection points and after researching other manufacturers skids Barnes appeared to be the best. Installation was easy, good quality hardware, a great product.

I have their shock skids but haven’t tested them.

I like that Barnes seems less likely to trap a buch of water and what not than most products on the market and didn’t require unbolting the shock.

I went with ASFIR for my cross member skids and transmission skids.

As long as you're not riding on HOSS 3.0 Fox shocks. If you are (or aren't even) check ours out. We even include some plates to protect the lower links as well.

I always found this quote from Goatman interesting in these regards:

"I am a retired KOH driver/competitor, and for 5 years have been a tech inspector. I see every single car that competes in KOH, in all classes. Myself and three other guys tech every car, I see every one of them. I assure you that NONE of them have differential skid plates. Look, I'm not trying to be difficult, just factual. Real off roaders do not run diff skid plates. It's pointless. Get a good heavy duty diff cover, that's what the real folks do."
