They build whatever they have parts for.Hello All,
I have had a 2-door BD on order for awhile now, but my heart has been with a base Base from the beginning. However, I like quite a few features the Black Diamond offers. I know no one can really answer this, but maybe people with some insight on the matter….
Is Ford building more higher trims? Well, I guess I’m asking, will switching to a base Base prolong my wait?
Sadly, the insider knowledge on hardtop production has dried up around here. So it's mostly a guessing game, and wishful thinking about a second Webasto factory coming online. You think at some point hard tops can start to get made faster and Ford can catch up on two door reservations but right now I think they only make about ten hard tops a day .
I don’t know why they don’t.Sadly, the insider knowledge on hardtop production has dried up around here. So it's mostly a guessing game, and wishful thinking about a second Webasto factory coming online.
I get the sense v2 hardtops still have issues, Ford hasn't solved the production line hurdles that cause reduced output, and this will negatively impact 2-door output for quite a while. Man if only Ford offered a soft top option to get 2-doors out the door.
I have a 2 door base 2.3 with a build date of 2/21. I was a March 2021 reservation.2 doors are rare. Unless your a very early res holder, you will be waiting a very long time.
I was early res holder, still waiting for delivery of my 2dr base. Says it’s been built and shipped tho2 doors are rare. Unless your a very early res holder, you will be waiting a very long time.
