If it's a 1 to 2k difference, then I'll swallow and go 2.7. But if it's 3k and/or doesn't offer the 7mt then it's not for me. Ford offers the dealer tune for the 2.3 , and for all we know the 2.3 in the bronco may be tuned higher from factory.. this assuming both motors can tow the same.

I just hope you have the option to pair the motor you want with the transmission you want on the trim you want. Nothing sucks more than going up or down in packages just to get the powertrain options you want.

2.7 EB for the win. I do like the 2.3 in the cars it’s in. Just not going to be what I want. The 2.7 is an absolute monster. I just don’t see the 2.3 handing the 35s and 37s people will put on them. They will be slow. Like stock wrangler slow.

The reveal is tomorrow night. Hopefully we should see all of the trims and what is in it.

I would guess the the 2.7 will be tied to a bunch of stuff $$$ that you may not want........

My fear is the Bronco will make certain powertrain options only available on certain trims like many other vehicles are.
I just want to pick the motor, transmission, and gears without it being tied to any particular package.

Are you getting the 2.3 or 2.7?

Depends on the pairing. An absolute must for me is the 7sp MT. I want the lowest gears, but will make do with the middle. If I get the lowest gears, the 2.3 will provide more than enough power.
Maybe price and MPG difference might sway me one way or the other, but I'll be happy with either as long as I get everything else I want.

What I don't want to do is pay for a higher package with stuff I don't want just to get gears and transmission I do want.

Why do you think that the Bronco will make certain powertrains only available on certain trims? Can you give an example?
