I plan to let the Bronco sit for around a month while we're on vacation. Knowing I have an AGM battery, and having killed one before in the RV, I know I need a charger on it. That said, since I park the Bronco in the driveway under my car port, I don't want to run an extension cord out to the car for a battery tender while I'm gone. Can anyone think of why pulling the battery and leaving it on a tender in the garage is a bad idea for the Bronco?

What with all of the electronics and the truck wanting to be connected to WiFi, I guess I'm just a little paranoid :sneaky:.

I don't think that will hurt anything. All those updates you aren't getting will still be there when you put the battery back in.

Only downside I can think of is that the alarm won't be working, might not be a concern to you though. But otherwise you're fine to pull it.

I think you could charge it and then disconnect the negative cable, leaving the battery in the Bronco. The battery should last for months if nothing in the energy hungry Bronco is connected to it.

Yup, just pull the negative, you'll be fine.
