Jinx! The Generals on my 2006 Escape were the best tires I ever had on it. They were Brown colored just like the Escape! It's very common. You may be able to slow it down by cleaning the tires thoroughly with a good tire cleaner and a brush and then applying a tire dressing. It will eventually come back. It's is not a defect and will not in any way damage or shorten the tire life.
I use another Adam's product , Adam's Wheel & Tire Cleaner, on my Grabbers. Also with a stiff wheel brush. Its nasty stuff but it takes the bloom right off.I also started getting browning on my BD General Grabbers, then found this. I highly recommend if you can commit to applying every 2-3 weeks.... even every 4-5 keeps the brown away, just won't be ultra deep matte black past 3 weeks.
