Just cashed in my $7,000 Bronco rebate (aka hardtop) last week and installed a Trektop this week. For anybody considering buying one, looks like Bestop made a couple updates - there are no longer net pockets above the first row seats and they also added a “Bestop” logo above the rear window. Not crazy about either of those changes but it is definitely a higher quality top than either factory Ford option. Install was a PITA… both Bestop’s instructions and videos don’t explain a couple parts very well but nothing too hard to figure out.

Man, those nets are where I keep my sunglasses. And they should’ve lowered the price if you are advertising for them. That’s crap…
Yeah that’s kind of how I feel too. The overhead pockets are def still listed as a feature on their product page.

@Bestop_Team are Bronco Trektops still supposed to come with overhead map/storage pockets or is that feature discontinued?

I have whatever the previous version was, with the mesh pockets and a small Bestop tag on the passenger side, and I really prefer the small tag, but I will say that the tag is fading in the South Carolina sun. I do NOT like the large Bestop logo, and it's kinda dumb that they make you advertise for them. The only thing I keep in those mesh pockets is the Velcro straps for the frame. There's really not enough room to put anything in there other than that.

But yes, install was a bear. I did it last October, right after buying it, and I didn't know I was in day 3 of COVID. I was absolutely EXHAUSTED by the end of the install, and there were a lot of things that were definitely not well explained.

Still, it's way better than the Ford soft tops I checked out at the Off-Roadeo.

I did not realize the logo was on there till I installed mine. I do still have the nets, mine was ordered end of April. If anyone comes up with a slick way to hide logo share!
I am thinking of reaching out to bestop to ask for a small offcut that can hide the logo, make a flap that is sewn or velcro'd on
As the others have noted, install was ok but could be much better. The online videos do not match the manual. I am surprised at how much effort it takes to fold the top back. On the plus side I like the fastback look more than I thought I would, but would love to see the hard glass option like they have for the jeepers.

yeah I was hoping they’d come out with the PRO version that has glass too but I actually think they even stopped making those for Jeeps awhile back… if I remember right the current gen wrangler doesn’t have them available either. I don’t really mind the logo too much but noticed the Jeeps now have a version that says “Jeep” instead “Bestop” - would have preferred it to say “Ford” at least but I’m sure Jeep is handing over extra $$ for that or something.

So we don’t mind “advertising” for Ford, or Goodyear, or Method, or Warn, or countless other products that display a logo… but that BesTop logo, man, that’s a dealbreaker… 🤔

Sounds like updates went the wrong way! I would love a top that does not act as a parachute when open. Not many good soft top options.

lol true… I was more thinking at Least “Ford” would make it appear more cohesive with the overall vehicle (esp. since it is a ford licensed accessory) but yes nothing at all would be better.

That was my original thought too until I rode in a Bronco with the factory top folded all the way back - totally killed all visibility out the back which would annoy me more than the top not folding all the way back. At that point it was just do I want to keep my cardboard top or would I rather have a Trektop AND an extra $5000 so that was deciding factor.

I think it's the location and size of it that I don't like. The one I have just has a small tab with the logo. It's all of 1"x0.5" and is pretty unnoticeable. This logo just looks too big and out of place.

How is the noise on these, for those who had a hard top and long time users?
