I have 285 BFG ATs on a 2022 4 door V6. I don’t off-road at all but like the look.
Is it me or are they absolutely horrible and actually dangerous on wet pavement. If I am at a stop on a slight hill and give it gas I can spin them forever. A 20mph right turn on a residential street causes spin. Any gas and it’s full on fishtail. A curved 40mph road feels like I am too toeing.

this all on wet pavement and not still raining.

any suggestion on a switch to a better road tire that isn’t hideous?

They are notoriously terrible in the rain. I had them on previous vehicles and they acted like you describe.

I've never had an issue with them, even when the inner teenager in me made himself present in my right foot.

I have read lots of people complain about them though..

Just wait till you try driving on your KO2’s in the snow. Friggin dangerous.

I’ve had them on several trucks, they’re bad on wet pavement had even worse on icy pavement. Mud and snow they’re actually pretty good for an all terrain.

I put Falken AT3’s on my Colorado and the on road wet / icy manners absolutely improved, but not as good in dirt and gravel, so it just depends on which way you want to compromise?…

Tires are a deep rabbit hole, good luck!

I’m running 34 psi and have zero
Issues with these tires. I can run 75 on the highway in the rain and zero issues. I can’t confidently do that in a wrangler on the same rubber

I had initially put new KO3's on mine (OBX, 285/65/18) and loved the looks. But the ride and inability to balance them forced me to move over to the BFG "Trail Terrain" version, a SL tire that is bit more tame on pavement. Still had white lettering and still looks good.

I have an epoxy covered garage floor, slight lip at the door entrance up to the garage from the driveway. I back mine into the garage all the time. When wet, I had to have momentum to it over that 1 inch lip with the K03's. If I didn't, and with the rear in the garage and front tires on that lip, it would spin and chatter like crazy. The T/Terrains are much better (but not perfect).

I can get the rear to spin in the rain on the trail terrains with relatively ease, but nothing like the K03's were like. I chalk it up to the fact that there is just very little weight on the back, similar to a small pickup truck with an empty bed. But I've driven mine at 70mph in the rain several times now with the T/Terrains and have encountered 0% problems or sense of hydroplaning. Granted, they only have 4k miles on them since new, so time will tell. If you want to see the difference, I have a thread on here somewhere with a title of K03 vs Trail Terrain Pictures.

Edit: Here it is: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/ko3-vs-trail-terrain-tires-mounted-picture-comparison.96927/

it’s to spec 34 I think. I assume you mean lower? Appreciate it.
Ford spec is 39 front and rear which is far too high. I run the rear at 32, 34 in the front. You barely have a contact patch running them at 39 in the rear. They still aren’t great in the rain, but lowering tire pressure helped a ton with RWD traction. Are these the factory C load KO2?

I had 315 KO2’s on my’22 OBX. Great on dry roads, not good in rain or slushy/icy roads. Actually been surprised how much better the Goodyear XT (Wrangler) on my Wildtrak have been In the rain. Rock throwing is a different discussion.
