I just got a new set of wheels, logged on to @Discount Tire, and noticed that the KO3s are supposedly coming this August.

Man. I wanna hold out for them, but I really don't think I'll be able to, haha.

I’d wait on a review or two, while unlikely it could be a terrible tire

I have them in 35 x 12.50 and even in Load Range E they are fantastic. I wish they were lighter but they perform great and don’t throw rocks.

How's the road noise compared to the Goodyears?

The same or quieter as far as I can tell. I use these tires on all of my heavy duty trucks and they are fantastic. The last set I had on my 1994 F250 lasted 70,000 miles. Like I said, the only knock against mine are that they’re load range E and very heavy. But I put them on as soon as I bought my bronco, so I don’t really know if there’s any performance difference due to the weight. If you can get a load range C or D, I would go for it. Those Goodyears are OK but I’d bet that when Ford knew they were building the bronco they went to several tire manufacturers and gave them specifications and asked for the lowest bid and probably took the lowest bid so I doubt they compare to the BFG’s.

I just gave Discount Tire a lot of money for 5 KO2s. Trying the KO3 will have to wait a couple of years.

I still think though that the KO2 tread looks more aggressive

The KO3 is a more street oriented tire than the KO2... Also, the OP posted a LR-F tire, that's 3/4 ton truck stuff. No thank you.

If you like BFG's, the KO2 is still a great tire and will be around for quite a while.

Thread, sidewall, and weight. Supposedly handle better wet. They have beefier sidewalls and are notably heavier than the KO2. Not sure I want anything heavier than that so when the time comes to replace my KO2s I will likely do another set of KO2s if they are still available.

Don't think the KO3 is more street oriented. The wright has increased by at least 7 lbs per tire relative to the 33" KO2 due to increased thickness of the sidewall
