I have all these things (less keyless start) on my '16 Focus ST (ST3) and I honestly love them. I will be going with the mid package because not doing it will feel like taking a step backwards. I reserved a Black Diamond, so that's as high a package possible, but if I switch to the Badlands, I still think I would go with the mid package and not the others. Te features in the mid are all I really need or want. A 12" screen would be nice, but a 8" is perfectly fine.

I will possibly add navigation depending on cost. The trail maps seem pretty awesome, but I suspect it can be had cheaper with a used Garmin or something.
Also have a 16 st it blows my mind Ford offers vehicles for 40+k that don’t have that

Also auto climate is a must

No more constantly screwing with fan or temp, just set it and you never have to mess with it

Push start on all then?
As far as we understand, yes. All have push button start, but MID adds the "intelligent" feature which essentially means being able to tap the handle to unlock/lock instead of having to push the key fob button to get in/out.

Well, shame we can't go Ala Carte and remove a few features, I don't need Lane Keep or Pre-Collision Assist.

Still, like the Ambient lighting, just are they MyColor or just standard?
If it's similar to my 17 Fusion you can turn those off in the system.

Lighted visor mirror. It’s really what defines the package. ?

Sure you can find the coding and disable them all together

Mid desc says “subscription navigation”
Subscription is a word I will never agree to lol. For some reason I have this bad feeling that Ford will screw us on pricing for a subscription to Nav

No what I mean is you can turn them off as an End User. It's in Driver Assist settings

Backup cams are required by law and they all have grid lines, maybe the package gives a different view?
I believe that they do not all have grid lines. That is not required by law. By going up on the package is when you get grid lines. Without the mid package it's just a regular back up view

Lighted visor mirror. It’s really what defines the package. ?
I almost spit out my coffee when I read that this comes with the “Mid” Package. Ford is so kind to allow us the pleasure of even having this new fancy tech that is a lighted visor mirror. I mean I figured us peasants below the Lux package wouldn’t get that. I think I saw that a backlit speedometer comes with the mid too. Oh and they throw in the odometer for free. ? /s

For me it’s that Intel Access aka Proximity Key. With key in pocket, just tap the exterior door handle to lock the doors, then when coming back, just grab the handle to unlock them, then jump in and push the button to start. Once you own a car with this, you never want anything else. It’s a game changer. That and automatic climate control is why Mid is a must have for me.

(most) Everything in the Mid package is a must for me, and I feel is should come as the standard package for Badlands...but I am getting High Package anyway. Get it loaded up now and cry once...also, having some of these upgraded features will help with resale price later on...if I decide to sell it that is.

I currently have 2 Fords (One with BLIS and one without). The BLIS will throw people. Those that don't have it may have a convex mirror on the side mirrors which is somewhat cosmetically unappealing. BLIS is a LED light and IMO more seamless.

Everything that my current Ford Fusion Hybrid has in the "Tech Package" comes with the Mid Package and therefore the Mid Package is a must have for me.
