It seems like it's a must have for most people on the forum but I just don't get it. Talk me into it?

I am not 100% sold on the mid package because I am still hemming and hawing between base and black diamond. If I go with black diamond will definitely be for the mid package though. Remote start is amazing for AZ summers, start cooling it down before you even get there. Smart entry is super convenient. Blind spot monitors/lane assist are very nice to have as well.

The mid package has pretty much every option that I would pick if ala carte was an option. With the exception of heated steering wheel and wireless charging.

-Intelligent access
-AC power outlet
-Auto dimming rear view
-Heated seats
-Remote start
-Reverse sensing
-Blis

All must haves for me.

I'm going for it because I want the High package. Which has the mid. It's a decent value for just the safety/tech stuff. The only thing that I never used is the auto climate control. Had it in my past 2 or 3 vehicles and never use it. But everything else is worth it for me. Blind spot and rearview camera are a must.

as has been discussed, auto-start is available from your ford-pass app on your phone so you don't need mid-package to remote start your Bronco. Black Diamond comes with standard-package btw, Outer-Banks is the first level that includes mid-package.

Agree, mid Big Bend, add tube steps, modular bumper and rear locker might end up the sweet spot pricing wise.

You get what you want. I'll get what I want. Why would I want to talk anyone into getting something? Why would you want to be talked into getting something?

For me it's the heated seats and (if I end up with the 2.7 & AT) remote start. I live in MT and it gets really cold and I would use both of those features every day. I'd leave all the other stuff off if I could, don't need or want them.

It comes standard on Outer Banks, so a shorter step to get the Lux package. That covers about 90% of what I'm looking for.

Rear view camera would be the only thing I’d want from the mid package. Don’t feel the need for any of the other stuff.

It’s clearly designed to entice everyone to upgrade to it, because you’ll want at least one of these features. I’m trying to resist myself.

Mid Package
  • 2-Door Intelligent Access with lock/unlock
  • 110V/150W AC power outlet
  • ambient footwell lighting
  • auto-dimming rearview mirror
  • dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control
  • heated front seats
  • illuminated visor mirrors
  • Remote Start System (automatic transmission only)
  • Reverse Sensing System
  • subscription Navigation with 3-month trial
  • SYNC 4 with Enhanced Voice Recognition
  • Ford Co-Pilot360: Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane-Keeping System, Auto High-Beam Headlamps, and Rear View Camera with Backup Assist Grid Lines
