Seattle based company (I actually sold them their pallet rack for their SeaTac facility years ago when I lived up there)

My dad still wears some filson clothes he bought in the 80s that are holding up. I have a few pieces of their clothing (jackets, hats) and they're exceptionally well made, but very expensive.

If you need to buy a new jacket and can mentally ammortize the cost in your head over a decade or so, it's not a bad value

I've bought a lot of hunting gear, but never have I been able to justify Filson for my uses. Good looking stuff and well made but best left for the Pac Northwest mall crawlers, though in my opinion.

Good because if you have ever priced out Filson apparel you would be broke. Great quality but very expensive. At least it was years ago when I last checked.
Agreed, but, buy once cry once.

Upscale PNW gear. I picture a dude getting out of a beaver with Filson gear.
Good stuff though. My Dad has some of their bags and show little wear from many years of use.

ā€œNice beaverā€
ā€œThanks. I just had it stuffed...with a dude in Filson gear.ā€

Sorry, I couldnā€™t resist.

I believe the Bronco tool roll is made by Filson.

I've got a couple of Filson wool coats (not much use since I moved to south Texas) and an oiled canvas hunting vest, all purchased in the late 80's and early 90's. They are of excellent quality although don't know how well they are made now.

Have a Filson bag for work.

Indestructible ... cannot be damaged by conventional weapons.

Like so much other stuff. Items that were priced maybe a little above average that were very high quality in the 80s and 90s are now priced way above average but of only average quality. Often times people are literally just paying more for the brand name.

Iā€™m thinking Filson can keep their stuff. Those will be some hella expensive items just because theyā€™ll say Filson on it. Save they money for things youā€™ll actually use, like Squatch or disconnecting sway bars. Maybe diamond watches and emeralds for paperweights. Gold bars as a doorstop or as a step up into the Bronco. All are more price justified than Filson.

Just go check out Katzkin. That's who jeep uses for their seat covers, plethora of choices/options.
