Black diamond 4 door: 2.7, Sasquatch, Mid package, hardtop.
Has to be about $50k.

We will see....
...apparently the build tool won’t have prices when it’s launched.

hurry up and wait. Oh well, nothing we can do. They got me, I’m getting one no matter what.

So after practically finishing the internet (I've watched a LOT of Bronco videos) trying to determine what I really wanted out of my Bronco as someone who has never done any off roading, I started looking into what I'd need to start off roading and went down that rabbit hole. My original plan for fire roads and camp ground access only has morphed a bit because as I learn more, I want to DO more. Following tonight's YouTube binge I have a fundamental understanding of open vs locked differentials and now I might be on board the Black Diamond train for that standard rear diff lock. This is why they're making us wait a year. By the time I buy mine I'm gonna have solid reasons why the BadSquatch is the only acceptable route!

As it is I now hear Bryan Cranston's commanding voice informing me "You need a DIFF LOCK."

#iamtheonewholocks

(PS: Anyone else still just having a bunch of fun learning about this truck? I'm seeing lots of people bailing and frustrated but y'all I'm still giddy over here!)
Haha this sounds just like me!! I started with the campgrounds and fire roads but I know I'll soon want to be into 2ft deep mud holes!!!

I'd decided the big bend I reserved wasn't enough (even though I loved the nickname Bigsquatch!!) and an now on a Black Diamond BUT that sway bar disconnect does look tempting!!! ?

Is there a way to order a badlands when the time comes or am I locked in with the BD trim level? Will it change my reservation place (will I have to go to the back of the line) and delivery date?

No I believe you're allowed to change your trim level at time of order without it causing any delays

At least I hope so because that's what I'll be doing

My dealer assured me changing trims was not a problem when it comes time to order and I have seen this confirmed multiple times on the forums. You're all good!

Am going with the BD, with v6 and mid package. Depending on price. Also would like to put 33’s on it.

Anyone out there want to guess my build cost ?

2 DR, Black Diamond.
Antimatter Blue.
2.7 V6, 10 spd auto,.
Sasquatch Package.
Mid Package.
Trailer Tow option.
Roof Rails.

An estimate of this build would be great.

My best guess with that build would be in the 48k range

Just a guess
Sasquatch + V6 upgrade around 6k
Mid package another 2k
Tow and rails 1500

I hope you are correct about the V6 + Sasquatch ~6k. I would be all in on that.

I was wanting BD 4 door $38,545
Add Sasquatch, V6, Mid pkg, hardtop.
Hoping all those additions are no more than 10k, 12k tops. I hope I’m not way off. From looking at other fords those prices seem reasonable.

was thinking total would be Around 50k

Black Diamond with Squatch and Mid. Big motor with 10 spd. It’s all I ever wanted in a Bronco. The color choice is going to be the hardest issue to resolve. Silver, Black. Or A51. I’ll probably do Yakima boat rails and other aftermarket doo dads.

Somewhere pretty close to 50k would be my guess. You basically just built a Wild Track with a couple additional accessories.

Are general grabbers bad I heard a lot of good Things about that tire from people. This will be my first off roader so would know a lot more than me what you thinking as far as tires go.
They are actually a very good tire. Good enough that my 2WD truck with a rear lunchbox locker could power through 24" of snow a few years back for a mile straight to get me out of my unplowed neighborhood --- and that was with a 27" tire so I was plowing with the front bumper and dragging the axle the whole way. I personally see that tire as one of the perks of the BD package, if only they offered it as 285/70R17 instead of 265 (33 vs. 32 in.)

Also since Black Diamond and the associated logo have very much a skiing vibe, it makes sense that they put a winter-rated (3 peak mountain snowflake logo) all terrain tire on it. There are other options in the same category of course, but the general grabbers, based on the two pairs I've owned, wear like iron and provide very good traction.

Does everyone think that the Black Diamond can take a set of 33" tires such as BFG AT KOs? Or is that only possible with the suspension the Badlands is sporting?

[ I read about half the pages in this thread, so sorry if someone else asked this already. ]

Probably but we can't know for sure until the vehicle is delivered and people start trying. I don't think there'll be a problem in normal driving. Off road who knows. The Badlands is lifted a half inch or so (not including tire height difference) but it also has more articulation because of the stabilizer disconnect.
