I'm happy for the FE reservation holders. This delay just made my decision to cancel and get a SxS look better. By the time the Broncos hit the dealerships I should have already been to Moab, Sand Hollow, Johnson Valley and a host of other places. I'll be watching for pineapple pizza equipped Broncos though. Hope to see my fellow 6g people out there. I'm old and made the decision to get something now rather than wait.

the 21ā€™s just became collectible down the road, like a 64 1/2 mustang...wishful thinking maybe.
with many more people getting 22MY when will we have an idea of the options.and interiors? This can go either way, if they get rid of the trim level colors inside thatā€™s great news. If MGV becomes available on other models then also great.
Are we going to be stuck with our models before we see whatā€™s available for 2022?
There likely will be FEWER '21 Broncos produced than '64 1/4 Mustangs.

Wonder if Ford will honor 21' Model pricing on the ones that end up as 22My? And why can't they just go ahead and start taking orders so when they do start production they'll have that much started. They surely have to know that people are getting discouraged by every setback..

I'm sure the manual Sasquatch crowd is going to have an aneurysm, but otherwise this is probably a good thing. And good news for the FE crowd on the interior.

Would like to learn if this push back means that more of the options and accessories will no longer be treated as "late availability". Thinking about the pull out tailgate, dual tops, modular tops, etc.

Am I disappointed? Of course, some. But, I see no reason for me to be impatient. I have two great cars right now and am not in a position where I'm worried about my existing car. I hope I get a 2021, but if I don't that is also okay. I'm excited to have a Bronco. If I wanted a Chrysler product I would have bought a Jeep years ago. The Bronco is the vehicle I've been wanting for years.

I am using my FordPass points on a single MIC grey floor mat. It will match my top. Or maybe I can get an extra roof panel and put it on the floor. Can I do that?

  • Order bank open will move from December to mid-January
  • Order conversion window will shift to mid-January through March
  • Initial 21MY dealer allocation forecasts will now be provided in early January (ahead of the order bank open)....

Called it months ago when they did the first delays.

Ford Bronco Breaking news: January ordering, Summer delivery, Black First Edition interior, no manual Sasquatch & more tenor

Mansquatch delayed to my22? Not good news for me personally. I've held off since July not buying a new car (my 4 runner is not road legal anymore). Been borrowing my wife's crap mitsubishi mirage. Hard to take that thing across 2 foot deep crossings to my favorite hunting and fishing spots. Hard to scrub the deer blood out of the trunk since it's not proper to strap it to the roof like great aunt edna. Idk if I can go without a vehicle of my own that long. Idk if I'll even have a chance to commit to waiting that long

Now I donā€™t have to convince my wife why iā€™d rather have a 2dr basemansquatch over a 4dr 2.7 sauatch.

Bronco Specialists & Dealer Principals,

We know customers are excited to get their new Bronco and we are committed to delivering a high-quality product as soon as we can. We are announcing soon a timing change driven by COVID 19 challenges that some of our suppliers are experiencing. The timing changes are listed below.

  • Order bank open will move from December to mid-January
  • Order conversion window will shift to mid-January through March
  • Initial 21MY dealer allocation forecasts will now be provided in early January (ahead of the order bank open).
  • Manual transmission with Sasquatch package is now planned to be introduced late next year as a 22MY option
  • Customer deliveries will begin in Summer 2021

In addition to these timing changes the team continues to actively listen to customer requests and as a result we will offer a new black interior to First Edition customers (more details to follow).

To thank our Bronco reservation holders for their patience we have created a customer appreciation program which will provide FordPass Rewards points for use towards the purchase of Bronco accessories.

A customer communication with these timing changes and details about the FordPass Rewards offer will be forthcoming, however we wanted to ensure you were aware of these changes first.

If you have any questions, please email @Ford.com or contact your Ford Regional Management Team.

Sincerely,

The Ford Bronco Team

FAQs

Is the 2021 Bronco two-and four-door launch delayed into Summer? What happened to ā€œSpring 2021ā€?
Yes, given the COVID-19 pandemic, customer deliveries of the new Bronco will now begin next summer.

I thought the order bank was opening in December. Now I understand itā€™s mid-January, meaning customer orders will be even later. Why the delay? And will it delay vehicle deliveries?
Given the COVID-19 pandemic, Bronco ordering will now start in mid-January, with customer deliveries now starting next summer.

I understand from supplier communications with Ford that the Bronco two-door and four-door models are delayed 6 more weeks. Can you confirm if itā€™s a development or supplier issue?
This is tied to a supplier issue. COVID has had a significant effect on a number of Bronco suppliers, which we are not naming.

What can customers who have placed a reservation expect next? And what does the Bronco overall timeline look like?
  1. Customer placed reservation (since July 13)
  2. Customer uses Ford.com Build & Price tool to spec their dream Bronco (since October 23)
  3. Customer finalizes dealer selection by March 19, 2021
  4. Customer places order and agree to selling price with dealer between mid-January through March 19, 2021. Note: Bronco will not have online order conversions and will require dealers to place order
  5. Ford receives all orders nationally and begins to forecast a production schedule against key product content and features (commodities) ā€“ Q2 2021
  6. Customer receives dealer delivery window in May 2021
  7. First customer deliveries now begin in Summer 2021

Will orders be built in the order that reservations were received? Reservations will be fulfilled in approximately the same order received, based on final ordering and production of similarly configured Broncos. Due to the high number of Bronco two-door and four-door reservations, deliveries will extend into the 2022 calendar year.

What happens if customer order are not built in 21MY? Due to the high number of Bronco 2- and 4-door reservations, deliveries may extend into the 2022 calendar year. We anticipate some customers will receive a 22MY Bronco. In this scenario, customers will work with their dealer to replace their 21MY order but will have access to any product improvements for 22MY. Their reservation timestamp will remain with their order.

Is anything being done to research and implement an increase in production? Due to exceedingly high demand, we will consistently explore and review production options.

Has the delay to Summer 2021 enabled the late-availability Sasquatch package and manual transmission configuration to catch up? Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire Bronco production launch schedule shifted, now pushing the manual transmission Bronco models with available Sasquatch package into 2022 model year.

Is Navy Pier interior option still available for Bronco 2- and 4-door First Edition? Yes. The all black interior is an incremental option. Navy Pier is still available.
