Well, I am super happy with my 2022, 2.7 two door outer banks. Just add some wheels and tires and have fun. Sorry most of you guys made the wrong decision. You can always sell and go to whatever you like.

Don’t like it, sell it. A Chrysler product with higher build quality? That’s pretty funny. Ford has been making cheap plastic interiors for a long time now. This is nothing new. But these things drive better and will last longer than any POS Chrysler product out there.

Build quality of my vehicle is good. Fenders, doors, etc line up nicely. Ya, the plastic interior sucks. But pretty much most domestic vehicles have this crappy plastic quality. But it’s not made to be a luxury vehicle. It’s made to be functional.

I owned a 20 Gladiator Overland, and now have a 24 Wildtrak. I do agree the Jeep's interior was a bit better, but not really by all that much. It was mostly a difference of materials used, rather than how it was actually built. The Jeep plastics were better (less scratchy, less brittle, felt better to the touch). The Dash was soft touch, covered in stitched "leather". The seat leather did seem to be a little nicer too, but again, it didn't seem like a big difference to me.

Still, Ford doesn't keep these things secret. Assuming one would at least test drive a vehicle before purchase, there's ample opportunity to know what you're getting into.

I will say that my Gladiator was rock solid. Never had any kind of issue with it, but I'm sure there's plenty here that would say the same of the Bronco. The Jeep was also well underpowered with the 3.6 V6, front seats weren't very comfy, passenger footwell was too small, and it wasn't nearly as good looking as the Bronco IMO. Additionally, I like the design of he Bronco interior better; Flat dash with the drive train switches, Wildtrak black and tan color scheme, and the Center screen is nicer.

Agree on all points. I just wish they would’ve put a little bit more quality in the interior instead of making it so Chincy. The Jeep just feels better built.

Good thread. I ran a Chevy 3500 flatbed camper for 10 years and wanted to down size so I drove multiple Jeep models and a Bronco Badland. After that there was a 2023 Bronco Raptor sitting next to it so on a whim I drove it and after 2 days of hanging (UGH) with the dealer closed the deal on the Raptor.

I don't have enough time, 400 miles to judge the build and reliability but in terms of handling, power and layout it's probably the best suv / truck I have owned to date. I'll come back in a year after I have spent sometime off road on the TAT and other trails and tell you the story.

On a side note a good friend of mine's daughter brought a Bronco Sport. 6 recalls and numerous issues to include poor service from the dealer

Saw a comment about Audi earlier in the thread,

lol

my 2005 audi was beyond luxurious, and then every car after that was less and less luxurious with less features etc.

the 18 I'm in is nothing to write home about. Drives nice, but it has a lot of pastic.

the bronco I test drove (lux) felt nicer

true story

Just looked at some of your other posts listed below. Did you actually look inside a Bronco before you purchased one?
  • "after driving jeeps for the past 24 years and recently purchasing a bronco the build quality feels like a Kmart special"
  • "the build quality of what is there is cheap as shit plastic garbage [and] i’ve driven Jeeps for 24 years"
  • "I will Enjoy it for three years or four years if it doesn’t fall apart before then"
  • "lux or no lux even the steering wheel feels like junk"
  • "feels super cheap"
  • "I don’t need more stuff or any bells and whistles I would like what it does have not to feel like cheap Chinese garbage"
  • "biggest complaint it just feels poorly made"
  • "I just wish they would’ve put a little bit more quality in the interior instead of making it so Chincy. The Jeep just feels better built."

He should have gotten the OBX. ;) My Bronco is nearing 3 years old and doesn't seem to be falling apart, but perhaps I need to put a bit more mileage on it before I call it reliable.

lol, Audi, BMW (Owned 2) MB (Owned 1). Now you are talking some real expensive POS. Yeah, the interior materials are very nice but under the skin, it’s really cheap shit. That’s why the used values plummet fast.

I will agree with the interior fit and finish just not being there on the Bronco. I can sum it up as loose, wobbly, or flimsy on my Lux package Bronco. The Gladiator Rubicons I looked at were noticeably better quality for the interior. That being said my bronco has a better fit and finish on the exterior than any of the Gladiators I looked at, so it's more of a pick your poison kind of deal. I also realize that I bought the bronco as a more capable offroad platform that will eventually phase out an aging 4runner, not as a luxury vehicle so this is a minor gripe

I do wish that Ford would address these known complaints either from a design or quality approach, because I think the interior quality steers a considerable amount of buyers away from this platform. I can see several easy improvements they can make that will improve the interior quality.

I never understand people complaining about build quality on here. It’s a mass manufactured vehicle designed to go off-road, and the utilitarian design reflects that. It is not a new G wagon or EQS (which by the way have you been in one? It’s plastic everywhere..rattles worse than my Bronco). If you expected luxury quality, than you should’ve bought an s550 or wagon. But your assumption that rubicon is leaps and bounds ahead of the Bronco in terms of quality is both subjective and just patently false. Go to the rubicon forums, and there’s about an equal amount of people complaining about build quality as there is here. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.
