I live out in the middle of nowhere the nearest Ford dealer is a little over three hours away. As a result, I have not had a chance to sit in the bronco so my question is this. Will a 6 foot six 300 pound guy fit behind the steering wheel in a four-door bronco OK?

6'3 300lbs here and I felt I fit pretty well in a Wildtrak. Good time for me to start a lifestyle change and fit even better though!

I would say it kind of depends on your build too. I took my friend who is 6'3" to the bronco offroadeo, I'm 5'11". I have a long torso and short legs, I need the seat dropped all the way down. When my friend drove he had to crank the seat up because he is all legs.

My biggest complaint about the bronco is my limited vision. With the rear view mirror and things around it blocking so much of my view. The visors are worthless. If I have them down I have pretty much zero vision. I can only use them if I have them tilted towards me which is extremely awkward.

Weight shouldn't be a factor for you.

Bronco has the best headroom of any vehicle I’ve ever driven. I’m 6’ 3” 280 and fit with room to spare. I have the seat base at max height and have at least a couple inches left above my head and I actually have to have the seat pulled forward a couple notches.

I'm 5'8" and its super comfy for me. It is narrower then my old Honda Passport which did not fit me. I would be concerned IMO. It's kind of sedan width.

2 or 4 door? 2-door may be easier entry/exit.

This for sure. It really depends on what your currently use to and your opinion of that. Purchased my wife a 22 Badlands a few weeks back. Drove it back 800 miles and it was very comfortable. But I’m 5’11, 200lbs. There is a big difference in the Bronco in leg room compared to my 450 or 550. If its short distances you’d probably be ok, but if not I doubt it would be comfortable for you at your height. Head room is good though.

It ain't a full size truck cab by any means.

i'm 6'4" long torso. Way better seating position than a JL Wrangler. The Bronco seat goes waaay down low. I have it a few clicks from the lowest position and definitely not slid all the way back. There is plenty of headroom with the soft top for sure. The annoying part for me is how high the belt line of the Bronco is and how short the windshield is.

I have to articulate the rear view mirror all the way up till it is pressed up against the top, I think I am going to find a smaller thinner mirror to replace it with. I hate having the sensor box and a huge rear view mirror blocking 1/3 of the view out the front. Where I notice it most is at traffic lights or trying to see something up at a higher elevation, crane the old neck time. Unfortunately its the craze of the auto industry to basically remove any sort of decent all around visibility in order to get the squatty lines they are looking for in design.

I think you would be fine, the cockpit is much roomier than a wrangler with a ton of leg room and headroom.

2-door is a lot roomier.

I'm only 5'10", and I found the 4-door really cramped.

See Taccoa's pics above where the big dude's arm and shoulder are smashed up against the B pillar.

I'm 5'-11" and a biscuit shy of 300#. I fit well in my wife's 2-door.
