Yes they were! We discovered these a few weeks before our trip And made them a few times. My son varied his by adding peppers in that pic but the primary version is:those sandwiches look great!
This is an absolutely amazing build. How many hours do you have in it with both of you? Collecting supplies included...Empty weight is 1400 lbs. Cabin is 9.5’ x 5’, total length with tongue and hitch is 12.5’. Has queen mattress which folds to couch, roof rack, awning, solar, inverter, lights/fan, full electric and galley area with fridge, water and storage.
Gosh, no idea on hours but we talked about it and if we had all the supplies on hand and could work straight (8 hour days) we guessed we could build it start to finish in 2 weeks or so. It’s not that hard but we had to weld over at a friends shop, and that took a few nights here and there over a 2 month Period. Then the rest was done in our garage at home but we were waiting for parts, doing our days jobs, traveling, doing home/wife projects and all that gets in the way. This is an absolutely amazing build. Sir - I cant even express how impressive this is - not only the build, but the time and memories you created with your son. That’s as classic American as it gets, unfortunately not seen nearly enough these days. Awesome man. Just awesome.Hello B6G - I got my 2021 Wildtrak back in November of 2021. We love exploring the outdoors and camping so about 3 months after getting the Bronco, my son and I decided to build a teardrop trailer. My son’s an engineer and we’re both pretty handy so we decided to build instead of buy. Unfortunately we both have day jobs so it took us about a year, weekends and odd nights. But it was blast and something we enjoyed doing together. Now we get to use it. Below are the specs and what we did and some pics.

Not as bad as I had heard it was going to be. Although I did research the process a bit before I got ready to be inspected.Very nice build, great looking final results. The fact that it was a father/son build makes it priceless.
On the vin/reg and plate issue. Was it a P.I.T.A. to get the vin assigned and registered?
Thank you, turned out better than we hoped. We had some f ups along the way we had to redo.My mind is blown, this is so freaking awesome! Your work is phenomenal, clean AF. Congrats on the coolest DIY project I've ever seen.
Those serve 2 purposes, a) allow for wall 3/4” insulation and b) cut some wall weight.. but in the walls you need to leave more wood for rigidity and for mounting doors, racks, roof spars, etc. The floor and ceiling are a lot more insulation using 1.5” thick. see below…OP, looks great. However, what are the purpose of the wall cut-outs (other than the main door, of course)?
Damn, that looks better than factory! Very well done! Love the graphics match to your Wildtrack.Hello B6G - I got my 2021 Wildtrak back in November of 2021.
