So rented a I haul auto transport today and went and picked up a mini van we bought for a friend of ours. I will have to say I’m really impressed with the way it performed. Suspension sat down pretty good but as far as pulling power didn’t phase it at all. Here is a couple pics and videos

How much did that van weigh?! Although you said it handled well, it looks like it's well over towing capacity? 🤷‍♂️

Maybe the van should have towed the Bronco :ROFLMAO:

*Insert moar door Bronco being a van joke here*

I'm shocked U-Haul allowed it to be hooked to a Bronco. By the book you can only haul a 1500lb or so car. (the last U-Haul trailer I used was 2100lb empty IIRC)

3500lb towing capacity
2100lb trailer
1400lb capacity left for weight on the trailer.

There was a pic a week ago or so that showed a bent frame the hitch connects to after a hard stop.

Actually, seems the tow rating of the bronco is below what they require for minimum (5k).

Correct. I assumed Tricky was referring to the capacity of the trailer, not the Bronco rating which i just looked up. Definitely sketchy to use for a vehicle..

Awesome!! Glad it worked out.

Also… not to be a party pooper or anything but you are obviously overweight. General rule of thumb: If the trailer has more than one axle, your Bronco probably shouldn’t tow it while it is loaded.

Granted 95% of the time nothing bad will happen even if you are overweight. But on the off chance something bad did happen… you don’t want the liability. Nor do you want to damage your Bronco while towing overweight like the guy who posted awhile back.

Holy crap that Bronco is not happy with that weight. It is wayyyyyyy over towing capacity. The 2.3L towing capacity is 3,500 LB.. The Dodge Caravan weighs 4400 LB. plus the 2100 LB. trailer. Your literally 3k LB. over towing capacity!! Plus you have 35s that aren't included in the calculation. I'm glad nothing was damaged (short term at least) but don't recommend doing this ever. Don't want to be attacking just pointing that out.

I know it's a joke but the van actually has a 900 LB. less towing capacity. The van weighs 4300 LB. (that alone is 800 LB. more than the 2.3L towing capacity).

Uhh. How far did you tow at literally double your vehicle’s tow rating?

Doesn’t the bronco have a class 3 hitch? I’m pretty sure you even exceeded your hitch’s rating too.

Honestly this whole thing is so stupid and negligent that I’m 100% percent impressed anyone survived.

What sort of vehicle was actually used to pick up the trailer? UHaul no like soft tops.
That looks like a soft top to me! Your right they won't allow soft tops to tow.
