Bronco and Bronco Sport customers can sign up for a limited availability, special viewing opportunity to experience the total solar eclipse on April 8 at Bronco Off-Roadeo, near the center point for the best viewing as the eclipse passes over Texas
Two nights of camping costs $1,995* for up to four people and includes 5 meals, with 60 guided Bronco Off-Roadeo trail drive slots available to campers on a first-come, first-served basis. Day of adventure costs $595* for up to four people and includes two meals

Ford to also debut new Bronco Raptor Blackout Package immediately following the total solar eclipse

DEARBORN, Mich., Feb. 28, 2024 – With hotel rooms virtually sold out, Ford is offering Bronco and Bronco Sport customers a special opportunity to experience the upcoming total solar eclipse on April 8 at Bronco Off-Roadeo just outside Austin, Texas.

Texas’ Hill Country, where Bronco Off-Roadeo Texas sits, is one of the best geographic locations in the United States to see the eclipse, according to USA Today**.

The total eclipse will only be visible within a 115-mile-wide band that stretches from central Mexico to far-eastern Canada. The eclipse duration is expected to last approximately 4 minutes 13 seconds at Bronco Off-Roadeo, among the longest times in the U.S.

“94 percent of people who attend Bronco Off-Roadeo give it a 5-star review, according to our surveys. Now we’re offering Bronco and Bronco Sport customers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that adds another star to the mix,” said Matt Simpson, general manager, Ford Enthusiast Vehicles.

Bronco Off-Roadeo is a one-day owner experience included with all Bronco, Bronco Sport, and Bronco Raptor purchases. It includes exciting and challenging trails, a team of expert trail guides, and plenty of fun while learning how to get the most out of your Bronco. A Half-Day Adventure is also available to the public as a four-hour paid off-road quest with trail guide instruction.

Bronco Off-Roadeo welcomes participants of all skill levels. In addition to Austin, Texas, Off-Roadeo locations are also located in Las Vegas, Nevada, Moab, Utah and New Hampshire.

Bronco customers can sign up today through Bronco Nation at the links below to reserve either a two-night camping reservation or a day-of pass to watch the total solar eclipse without feeling jostled by crowds or hunting for the best spot the day of the eclipse.

Camping Experience
Day Pass
Pricing is per vehicle for one to four people.

The two-night camping experience costs $1,995*, including five meals. There will be 60 spots, available on a first-come, first-served basis, for guided Bronco Off-Roadeo trail drives in the first-ever “Bring Your Own Bronco” trail experience.

The two-night camping experience is designed to help customers better avoid traffic in the area the day before and day of the eclipse. Customers are responsible for bringing their own camping shelter and sleeping accommodations.

The day of adventure costs $595 per vehicle for up to four people and includes two meals.

Everyone attending the Bronco Off-Roadeo total solar eclipse viewing party will also experience the debut of the new Bronco Raptor Blackout Package following the eclipse.

A waitlist will be created for both the camping and day-of watch opportunities for customers who aren’t able to sign up if the event sells out. This event is open to former Bronco Off-Roadeo attendees or those with a future reservation. No reservation? Sign up here.

Customers can also receive a full refund of their two-night camping or day-of reservation up to two weeks before the eclipse. No refund will be offered after that, due to the meal and restroom infrastructure this unique event will offer.

That’s pretty cool! I can’t take advantage for a few reasons, but it is cool. I also live in a little town that’s in the path of the eclipse so no need to travel! :D Will have to deal with thousands of extra people in town though…

Ford to also debut new Bronco Raptor Blackout Anti Matter Blue Package immediately following the total solar eclipse
Joking aside, I'm curious to see if there's anything of value here, outside of things folks have already done to black out their Bronco's, with minimal time and cost.

If you order a Black Braptor with or without painted flares, the only thing left is the front skid plate lol

That price is insane. Who pays someone $2,000 to camp?
You'd have to want to see the eclipse really badly.

The last U.S. one in 2017 started by crossing the western U.S., so there were loads of opportunities to camp for free and see the eclipse on public lands. I was in eastern Oregon and a coworker was in the Sawtooth Mtns. in Idaho. All I paid for was gas and a few meals out on the 3-day trip.

The Texas Hill Country is a great place but it's almost all private ranchland. Everything available was booked long ago.

If I hadn't already made eclipse plans I might be tempted. We signed up for a trip to view the eclipse 3 years ago. It includes more than the eclipse over 5 days in Austin. Very expensive but WTH it's the last one I'll likely get to see and my wife wasn't able to go with me to Idaho in 2017 for that eclipse. Since I paid for it over almost 3 years it hasn't been too bad. We're also taking some side trips on the way home through Texas and Oklahoma to see family so it's going to be a two week vacation by the time we're back home. Was going to take the Bronco but decided to use the wifes Subaru instead. Better mileage and more comfortable on the highway were the prime reasons. Also didn't want to put 4K miles on the Bronco.
