Anyone else get this update?

It may be a placebo effect where my brain wants to sense anything different but it feels like the transmission may be hanging on to gears a little longer making it feel a little peppier... Other than that I don't notice anything different. Iet me know what everyone else thinks. I can't find any info on this update and I'm usually not the first to get an update but maybe people just don't care so much anymore and just aren't posting about it... Anyway, if anyone still reads these let me know what y'all think.

I know, right?!

No doubt it was written by a marketing person who either knows nothing about the update or was told to make up something that will give people warm fuzzies.

This kind of verbiage makes me feel like they're trying to hide something to be honest. I'd feel so much better if they'd write up an actual release notes like they do in the software world. After all, that's what it is...

That's from the FordPass app. The Screen Is a little different but has the same update code at the bottom and says the same thing. I've had a few updates over the years that were equally cryptic but I've had mine since 2021 so I've seen a thing or two...

*23 - year of update? (I know it's 2024 now but maybe written in 2023...)
*PU0605 - Power Up version 0605?
*STBR-DSC - sta-bar disconnect?
Maybe an update to how the Sta-bar works?

Just guessing..

I'm past that update though. I received 4.2.2 on Sept 29th, 2023 and the The last one I received after that was 4.2.3 on Oct 5, 2023.

(Not being snooty, just sayin...)

Anyone else getting the update?

I did notice that now when I press the cruise control button it not only turns it on it sets the speed with the one button press. Before you'd have to press the button to turn it on as well as use the set button to set the speed. A bit more convenient.

I still think they should have release notes. I guarantee someone already knows this and is saying "Ha! He noticed..."

That's how my '23 Badlands has been since the day I bought it. I find it rather annoying as I would rather have them separate. The only time it wont set a speed when I turn it on is when my foot is on the brake.

Weird, mine has always set speed when turning on cruise.

Maybe it was an older update and I only noticed it today, I don't use it a lot but I am almost 100% that it didn't from the beginning because I remember thinking it was stupid and a pain.

Ok, well I still don't know what the main difference is on this weird update but I drove it 2.5 hrs back and forth from Prosper, TX and Forth Worth and I really think there was some transmission tuning in the update.

My Ford Pass app hasn’t shown an update since before I even bought my Bronco. Haven’t checked on Sync itself though - it updated something or another back in December but I I haven’t seen anything lately.

My vin shows both an update and a nav update but the mobile app and the vehicle both show nothing.

The inconsistencies and lack of transparency when it comes to these updates are frustrating, especially when I deal with this sort of stuff for my work.

You may have automatic updates turned off...
