I'm sure most of you know but for those that do not..........

F150 Raptor R has a V-8. Standard F150 Raptors do not.

So does Bronco Raptor R going to have a V-8 ?????? Doubt it, I thought that is what the DR was for. Why build a DR if you are just going to release a Bronco Raptor R with a V-8.

Just saw a lady ("Baby Bronco"?) out at Northwest OHV, she had a pretty cool Bronco Sport Badlands out on the trails. Other than the grill, Ford should ditch the Expedition and go with a concept like this.

As far as Bronco Raptor R goes, I’m willing to bet it is a typo.

Having said that, if a Bronco Raptor R is coming, it would most likely have the same 3.0L Twin-Turbo V6 but with the addition of a hybrid powertrain.

The power output would be very similar to the Lincoln Aviator hybrid (494HP, 630 Lb-FT Torque).

I believe there may have been spy photos early on of Warthog test mules with high voltage cable tucked up underneath. Does anyone else recall this?

I will be attending as a peasant Braptor owner. Hopefully they announce the date of the 3.0 tune.

MAP is not tooled for the 3.5.

Here is an explanation from TurboS:

“Because MAP, Michigan Assembly Plant, is tooled for the latest Ecoboost engines called Nano series. The 2.3L, 2.7L, & 3.0L are the Nano series family of engines. To accommodate the 3.5L would have required plant tooling changes and shutdown. By staying within the Nano family all the various vehicle configurations may proceed down the assembly line at any time.”

It really wouldn't take much engineering. There is a ton of room in the engine bay of the Sport. Stick a tuned 2.3L in there, add a legitimate rear locker, and a lift, it would be fun as heck.

3.5L Ecoboost would also mean 10R80. If that doesn’t happen, then they can keep the old Duratec

In all seriousness, just wish someone would unlock the ECU’s for the 2.7 and 3.0. Then I wouldn’t care about the 3.5

That finger dust hashtag was originally shared by Levine. Those Sports were running in the first Rebelle Rally. The Warthog Braptor was still in the clandestine testing phase and teased by camo-cloaked spy shots.

If it had a better transmission option, I would agree that it could be a fun little vehicle. But with all the issues I’ve seen so far with the 8F35, it would certainly be a weak point.

I agree, this is the only possibility that I would imagine if they actually make a Braptor R.
