Maybe but at least they named the perps and the chargers are not just minor offenses.Michigan? They'll service little to no time after flipping the people running the racket. I'll bet they were working with someone on the inside at Ford or one of their contractors. All of that aside, Ford needed to report these stolen ASAP. No excuses since all of them have a modem and Ford can ping it anytime they want. It's 2023, I can't accept Ford has that little awareness or control of vehicle still in their custody. Losing some nuts or small parts on the assembly line, yes. A $50K+ vehicle(s), no f'ing way.
I was just gonna mention that. Think it was Facebook. He tried to register it but couldn’t or somethingWasn't there someone on here who bought one of these of craigslist? It had even been registered before it got discovered and he lost all his money or something. Crazy.
He went way farther than that. He bought it off craigslist for 75k cash for a "23 Braptor" with an MSRP of about 90k. He met the guy at the local DMV and walked with him inside to conduct the title transfer, and it worked. The kicker? The scam artists changed the VIN# on the windshield and doors, complete with working QR codes for a different Braptor that was less then 30 days old and not at the dealership yet. He traded the Braptor in after a few weeks for a brand-new F-150 Raptor valued at 90k. The dealership noticed that components for the 23 were not matching up for the build, and checked what I am guessing was a stamped or etched number somewhere. He got a call a few days later and had to return the truck, make a police statement, then tried to justify his story on here. He was not able to collect the Bronco and was out 75k. Turned out to be a stolen 2022, right off the Ford holding area.I was just gonna mention that. Think it was Facebook. He tried to register it but couldn’t or something
Classic...The suspects.
Careful, comments like that might actually speak to the true problem. They arrested the grunts doing the labor.
