Bronco Tailgate Inside Handle Needed (Problem Solved 👍)

Today as many other days I opened my tailgate and it swings open over a large drop-off. I do photography and have to regularly park on the edge of a mountain road with large drop-offs. This causes a problem closing the gate because there is really nothing to grab to close the gate. I have not been able to find a ready maid solutions so does anyone have and inside handle they use?

I saw that one but just want a handle to grab onto to close it when I have to reach over. I was thinking about something like this https://amzn.to/46LiI7y maybe replace the plastic vent with a molle aluminum panel and attach it to that.

I thought of that too; you could just drill riv-nut mounting holes for them. And my telescoping hook idea was a half-joke. That thing has a mag-mount that could go right on the diagonal roll bar brace or on top of the roll bar (existing mounting holes or riv-nut again) and can hook on to the latch/lock opening in the gate from many angles, or grab these loop handles you are considering.

Or, gently pull the truck up away from the treacherous cliff when you want to close it?

I found this Molle Pannel and could do a parachute handel attached to it. That way I do not have to drill into the nice new Marsh Grey...

I think that would be a terrible choice. The hump of the gate already intrudes into the cargo space. The additional metal MOLLE basket only compounds that problem.
