well you could be a determinant in what it sells for!
3 days at 14k, you know people are waiting for that last 12 hours. If the price doubled, I wouldn’t be shocked. My crystal ball says this sells for 23-27k

sounds like you’re in the same boat I was a week ago. Do I spend 25k on a rig with 200k and potentially gremlins, or wait a bit and get arguably the best damn stock off road vehicle to hit the market in years.

me never having good luck with used cars, I went with ordering a base model with the SAMSQUANCH package
Today I have started to lean into the Bronco. I have to choose between the Base Mansquatch or manual BD. I have two reservations, one with Grainger for the MY22, so I am thinking the Mansquatch.

Now this is just me but our friend The Road Chose Me drove basically my exact wrangler (just the rubicon and with some additional mods) around Africa. And is still driving it around North America right now with no issues. If even a 10 year old Jeep is reliable enough for that I’m sure a Bronco will be as reliable as It needs to be for my purposes.

If I was going to do that journey myself or traverse the Outback 100% taking a Toyota though.

Had to look it up, but I thought you were talking about the FJ62, which is on my favorite vehicle list.

There are only two vehicles ever designed that can be taken absolutely anywhere, without alteration, over any terrain, or into any situation, all without care or concern to the operator. Those are:

1. The 1941 Willys Jeep
2. A rental car.
I'm pretty sure Top Gear proved that the Toyota (HiLux) Tacoma was the clear winner here

Aka the land cruiser. The alleged greatest off-road vehicle ever created by man or something. Not saying they’re bad vehicles at all. I wanted one. Pretty bad. But good luck finding one these days with 200k miles for less 20,000.

Given what we know so far, how do you suppose the bronco will measure up?
$86,000 brand new. And yeah, GR auto had one with over 300k miles, not cheap.

I love the land cruiser... but how good can it be to justify those prices?

I mean would someone say a 25 year old over built monster would compare with a 2021 bronco? I’d say given there’s probably wear and tear on that land cruiser and the possibility of underlying problems, (yes I know parts are plenty), at the price of the land cruiser on today’s market it’s sort of an even playing field. There will surely be exceptions and those land cruisers that are in exceptional shape...
