My one struggle now that I’ve chewed this over a bit is that this change makes the basetrak quite a bit less desirable. For $5k more I can get an actual wildtrak with mid package, more color options, the black wheels, more goat modes, etc. But for me personally since I’m already stretching my budget a bit with my basetrak... idk. The basetrak has always been by far the best value, but now it seems like the wildtrak is the best value hands down, and the basetrak is not as good of a value.
Hey Nick, I’d hang on for a bit before giving up hope on the basetrak, I think the BnP is double charging for the auto, so I suspect we will see it drop in price by $1,595 by the time of actual order (leaving the total price increase at $1595 for the auto)

I never looked at the upper trims, FE is 63.1k sticker delivered without any additional options...

I paid 61.7K sticker delivered three years ago for my new Raptor.

Ford gone nuts.

The Glad is now about 12k less with promo pricing. I just don't know the cost of a new front suspension that works.
That end of year employee pricing is very tempting right now. A gladiator would still give me the best of both worlds. A capable off-road vehicle, and a pick up. If anything, I’ll wait a few years and pick up a Bronco.

The base manual 2-door with nothing on it, is the overall best value.
Prediction: It will still be worth $22K in 5 years/75K miles, losing only $8K of value in that that time.
Base was intentionally under priced by Ford to be able to advertise “Starting under $30K”

All adventures begin at Base Camp!
(go ahead Ford, you can steal the slogan ?)

Your crosstek/gladiator/blazer/lumina/aztek/camry that you are now claiming that you are going to get instead of the Bronco, is not a Bronco. Just admit it, you need that Bronco.

You will be back.

I already have a signed bill of sale from before the price change. This will be interesting. I wonder if they will eat the additional $3000.

What'd they put down for a VIN on the BoS?

(The only way, if I were a dealer, that I would have signed *anything* with price on it this early in the game is if I was waaaaaaaaay over charging.)

Hmmm....My 4 dr hard top Badlands with Sasquatch and 2.7 appears to have gone up in price nearly $2000 but equipping a Wildtrac with the same options is nearly $3000 cheaper. I could live with the Wildtrac itself but not that interior. Its becoming more and more difficult keeping my level of excitement.
But for $2,100 you can add leather and still be $900 less. Unless they multiplied the leather by 3 or something
