KBB values tend to be on the very high end and are really more like retail. A better number is from what's known as the "Black Book" or you can enter you VIN at CarFax but you have to pay. You can also check with CarMax to see what they offer. Those numbers will be much closer to a realistic trade value. I just went through all of that trading my truck to get a newer/smaller one for my son. The KBB numbers were way beyond what any dealer offered.Has anyone here yet received a quote on their trade in? How close was it to kbb trade in value?
I told Granger no to a trade but I might rethink that. I have a nice rust free CA Honda Accord that would probably be a good flip for them. It's 10 yrs old but in great shape. Just got all the dents and scrapes taken care of and repainted thanks to a careless driver in a parking lot a few weeks ago that banged up the passenger side of the car. While they had it I paid a bit extra for them to touch up the other areas. Got it back a few days ago and it looks like new.
