Cool thanks

I finally took delivery. I was noticing on the shackle itself the hinge has a little tiny rubber grommet on each side. Wondering if paint or powder coating would mess that up in any way.
Good observation. I did paint mine over the grommet, but the paint did not stick to it. Eventually it just fell off the grommet itself. It does not seem to hurt anything.

Cool thanks....

Didn't seem like there was much of a way to avoid that anyway.

I just can't decide on a color on the shackles for my EG....

White, Red, or EG itself

Rugged Ridge 11540.27 XHD Bumper D-Ring Shackle Bracket Kit; 76-18 CJ/Wrangler https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00QK5I...t_i_YPZTA6GT6N5KY9RAN290?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I’m curious how close these are to fitting and if someone will ever offer them for the capable bumper.

In questions.

Q: What are the dimensions of the holes left to right and up and down
A: Overall is 7 x4 inches. Holes are 5.5x2.5 center to center
Any reason you prefer the aftermarket bracket over Ford's?

Took off the bumper yesterday and I confirm the whole shackle mount was held with a 8 mm socket bolt from the back. After that it came right off. The capable bumper mounts essentially the same as the modular bumper, but it does not have the "modularity" part. However it is compatible with the same skid plates as the modular bumper. The bumper is super easy to take off. 6 screws and one harness connection total.

However, I could not take apart the shackles. Looks like the pins holding them are press fit. So you might need a press to take them off.

But honestly, if you just want to paint them, I would recommend just taking off the plastic trim and masking around it. If you have any imperfections on the edges, they will be covered by the trim anyway.
I am going to paint mine, but I unsure if I want to do some kind of silver or red or orange to match the body color. Too many choices!!!

Incredibly helpful! I plan on having someone powder coat to match my Cyber Orange, so I can have these removed and take them to the paint shop.

Not really, but wanted to install aftermarket shackles and looking for less expensive.

Yes!
In fact I could not wait and just got it done. I was not that careful masking around it and got a bit of flash on the inside bracket of the bumper. But when I snap the covers back on, it will not be visible. At the end, I decided to go with silver paint, like the Bronco concept. In black they go completely unoticed, but in silver they really pop and they match the Bronco letters.

How is the paint holding up? Finally starting to warm up and will be able to paint mine soon if it is worth it.

Looking at the dring, almost looks like the JCR winch plate and factory winch plate may actually fit on the capable bumper as well.

I am trying to adjust my capable bumper because it’s crooked. Any idea if it’s possible? Where are the screws located?
Thanks

I went the white route to match the grill lettering. I went with Plasti dip for now so I can change my mind easy. Much easier taking the bumper off. Note : the 8mm bolt holding the shackle to the bumper snap easy, ask me how I know hahaha.

I want to paint the D rings
1. Pop off the plastic surrounds around the D-rings. Unclip sensors
2. Remove 3 bolts on either side ( driver & passenger ) unclip foglights
3. Lift bumper up a little and slide off towards you.
4. Flip bumper on its face, remove 1 bolt each side holding the shackle mount to the bumper.
