Very interesting. I literally found this thread/issue as I was walking away from the shop who's going to be installing my Icon Stage7. I just reached out to them and they are going to send me pics of my mounts. 21 7MT Badlands 4door. Picked up from dealer in December of 21. If they aren't boxed I'm going to see if the shop can box them while they're doing the work.

Update:

Got driver's side done. This is what I came up with. I removed the nut retainer inside and boxed what I could but still get a 24mm wrench and the nut up there.

Oh, and I am not a welder, as you can see 🤣, but I think it will get the job done.

just found this thread... slid under mine real quick to see... CRAP... I have the open box design. Didn't see any cracks on drivers side but I have to jack it up and go over both sides.

Yep, still on my to do list. I'm sure I've got cracks, but until I actually see them...

So…. Let’s say Ford decides to warranty or recall this problem… How do they go about it? Replace the frame?

Also, it’s going to be hard for Ford to claim customers are abusing their Broncos in court when all the advertising before release showed them rock crawling and flying through the desert, even jumping. Someone should be storing those Ford videos to use as evidence, should it come to that.

Seeing as how nobody likes to weld repairs on metal these days from an OEM, I’m assuming it would be a frame replacement even though welding on the newer style bracket would be easy enough.

My buddy took his to Ford and they denied him. He is modified

I checked mine a couple days ago. 2021 open box style. Unmodified. No cracks, but am starting to see some rust.
