Bronco said the same. -40 with wind chill. Thought I’d be brave and go for a run. Didn’t last long.

I went out for supplies (mostly for Chinese food - my personal Christmas Eve tradition, ha) yesterday and after Bronco sat out in the driveway in below zero temps for 2 days straight, it started right up using remote start. I let it run with the heater and seats on full blast for about 20 minutes while I scraped the snow and ice off. Unfortunately the front driver window was frozen where it couldn’t do its 1” drop procedure, so I had to very gently click the door closed once it cleared the seal so I could leave. After about 10 additional minutes of having the heater vent to the left of the steering wheel blowing on the window, it finally thawed enough to operate correctly. Lesson learned- will likely try the window seal lubricant trick others have mentioned going forward.

I hit -12F on I-15 in Montana between Helena and Great Falls when I was hunting back in November. Everything was fine. Only complaint was 40mph headwind while doing 80mph on the interstate was literally making the front windows rattle, but there wasn't much I could do except slow down.

My Bronco hasn't been subjected to any remarkable cold yet and don't really expect to.
I did make a trip to Tok, AK, during the winter. It was -62F when I got there. My Escort hadn't seen the temp guage rise off the pin since Glenallen, it was actually giving a CEL from the cold. Stepped for a whiz and it froze into a little mound on contact. Cracked a CV boot, had to replace it when I returned. I got to Tok, shut the car off and 2 hours later it wouldn't start again so it got pushed into the school's auto shop for a charge and warm up. After that I didn't turn it off and the exhaust pipe froze, a pencil width of the pipe stayed clear so the exhaust could escape.
In what may have been a cabin fever related incident, the ladies in the school admin office got into a "spirited" debate concerning the travels of the local rabbits. One contended that they traveled from south to north during the day and back at night, the other countering that their movements were entirely random and I wonder how far that debate may have gone if I hadn't been there. In my job and life I'd seen a lot of the old 907 but that was the coldest and I don't miss that at all.

-29 here a couple days ago, no real issues. Steering gets stiff and my feet get cold thanks to Fords worthless, horrible, pathetic, embarrassingly underpowered floor heater but I survived.

Lucy the Bronco on IG is based in Fairbanks and was in the -40s 🥶

Hello! I was already planning on replying to you comment because I 100% agree with Ford's horrible floor heater. The defrost is even worse in active snow or freezing rain! I basically crank the heat up higher than I normally would and turn off the dash vents. That way more heat goes to the window and floor.

Thanks for the shout out! (This is Lucy on IG but my husband does more on B6G - he reads more of the forum and lets me know when to check out something here 🤣)

We have been out at below -40, but I don't have any photo proof at the moment. Last year she was out in even colder temps but I don't remember off hand how low. Lucy lives in the garage but she is plugged in while I'm at work so no problems there and I'm absolutely loving the auto start! This is my 9th winter in Alaska and Lucy is my first vehicle with auto start. So grateful!!!!!

But I did snag this photo because I was really sharing this "new to me" band!

The cold weather absolutely sucks for the electronics. Sometimes it just doesn't let me connect to Android Auto. Also, it doesn't like to recognize my key when it's really cold. I have to keep my key fob in an inner pocket or the car doesn't recognize it. I ended up having to use the app one day to unlock my doors as the fob stopped working. Last winter it kept glitching on the tire pressure. The shocks are ... Interesting, but that is true for most vehicles at these extreme temps. We got a high pitched sound coming from the engine and we suspect it could be related to the turbos as it only did it during acceleration and my husband watched the turbo gauge while it happened. It's stopped doing it (but we also warmed up to -10).

Some of you guys are in COLD locations! In our ice storm last week it got down to 20* in Portland, but that is not the coldest my Bronco has seen. It saw -7*F in Montana during the hunting season.

Bronco did just fine. A heated steering wheel would have been nice :) but very happy to have the heated seats.

Fairbanks, AK here and got to -36F on the thermometer, although the UAF sign I drove by read -40. I learned on that drive that college kids really like dressing down and taking pictures in front of that sign… I was NOT expecting that on a -40 day.

Happens EVERY year!!!
I have been here for 9 winters and still have zero desire to get my picture out there! 🤣

Yeah, after reading several of these posts on here, I got nothin' to beat it.
it was 2 degrees F here the other morning, wind chill got down to -12F.
But I see far more impressive numbers and folks farther up north braving the elements.

for here my experiences show the windows a bit sluggish, fuel mileage goes down some, tires hard and flat spotted for the first few miles.
I have noticed a definite cold air flow coming from the lower dash/shifter area/console. Can't quite trace it down definitively, and didn't put a lot of thought into it other than "Man, that's some cold air coming in there."
My wife says she feels a draft coming in from the door seal on the passenger side.

I have a soft top, a fleece blanket and a camping blanket both nestled between the mesh top and the actual ST, so I can confirm what some others have said on here about it helping with holding out the cold and some sound deadening.

Hats off to you brave souls living way up there in the northern US and Canada. Not for me, no way! Ya'll are a different breed.
I guess its a trade-off for here in the summer where the heat and humidity keep it in the hundreds and the air is so thick with humidity you can feel it sitting on you, obscuring mountains almost completely that lie only 10 miles away.

saw it get as low as -16F on the way home from Colorado yesterday. No issues except rear passenger asked for more floor heat more often than normal; windows operate a lil slowly, especially when first opening them
Same, - 16 on my drive to work, also in Colorado

-5F with 40 mph winds. Seat warmer is amazing and the heat system keeps you warm even with a soft top. The problem with snow and wind with the soft top is the snow I found in my backseat. Ford needs to make some improvements on that no doubt. The engine (2.3L) ran great in the cold.
