I'm going as well...just not sure which day.

I decided not to purchase my Bronco via any local dealer and opted to go with a dealer that I know and trust in Missouri.

I would encourage everyone to shop around once you Build & Price your Bronco. Once you know exactly what you want, send emails to all the local dealers and others like Granger. The time between B&P and end of October is critical. This is when you work your best deal...and once you find that best deal, you and the dealership do so in writing...before the end of October and then make sure that is your preferred dealer.
Exactly. This is my plan as well. If you can hand a dealer a big downpayment or pay cash, they should be able to give you a better price and/or financing. I need the pricing tool first though, so I know what my total cost is going to be. I almost feel like Ford is delaying that tool to shorten the window on changing dealerships. Now they're saying "fall" (again!) which is technically September 22 through December 20/21, 2020. If this is true, we'll only have five to six weeks (tops, because they didn't say "the first day of fall") to compare and switch. And the Ford phone lines will probably get slammed on the 31st, so I wouldn't even wait until then.

Nope, nothing. Waiting for prices right now, but apparently those aren't coming for at least another three weeks. I'd like to know what I'm buying before I talk to someone again, I guess. That will give us about a month to switch dealers.

I'm tentatively going to the Buena Vista event, probably Friday the 11th...with a camera and tape measure! It sounds like you can just walk around and look at the Broncos without a ticket. Anyone else going?
I'm thinking about going, not sure yet though as I've got a lot going on here. I got assigned to Groove in Centennial and it seems like they have no ADM and do offer xplan, so at the very least it sounds "average" but I have no experience with them. Once B&P is out think we'll all have a better idea of the plan and hopefully can share info about the best deals around.

My horror story was with that dealership: Why I Don't Automatically Buy Local Anymore

I go to McCloskey now to have any work done. Suzuki switched their service to them years ago, which was lucky for me because I had to have the engine replaced (threw a rod at 75K miles but was covered by the power train plan). They put in a new one and didn't charge me a dime.

I don't think I'll go with Granger because of the distance, but I'm definitely shopping around.
Just read your post, wow... I wish I'm surprised, but I had a similar experience. I had a 2012 MCA Edition Mustang that I got from one of their affiliate dealerships, also with the free oil changes. Went to pick it up one afternoon, and as the tech walked me to my vehicle I could tell something was up as he was being quiet. Apparently, they backed an F250 into my front bumper while in the shop and he was waiting to see if I was going to notice. I didn't have to fight much to get them to repaint it, but I got the worst rental car ever (Nissan Versa rental when giving up my Mustang... Okay..), and they did the worst spray on my front bumper I've seen. Wasn't a direct match of the Ingot Silver, and the clear started peeling in less than a year. Similar body shop experience with my SHO that was in the shop on/off for 4 months immediately after purchase. I've been going to Springs Automotive Group for my last couple vehicles (SRT8 Charger and now the GT/CS) and they've been treating me well, and I get a huge book of discounted services.

I dont mind the idea of traveling to IA for a vehicle pick up, I think it will make for a fun experience, and they seem to actually care about enthusiasts. I have had no such feeling from any local Ford dealers, and I buy a lot of cars...

Made my reservation with The Faricy Boys in Canon City.

Selling at MSRP/honoring X-Plan, $590 Dealer Handling, $500 due at time of ordering to be converted into down payment upon delivery, no mandatory add ons.

Seemed reasonable enough and they were the most proactive dealership in getting back to me.

Dealers get paid as soon as you sign that loan, and they make even more money off you with in-house or affiliated financing.

A large down payment and/or cash are not incentives, at all, and I don't know why that myth persists.

If you are going to pay cash, don’t tell them until you have the contracted price. They make all their money in that finance room.

Interesting I’m in the springs but sent my order up to Longmont because my wife works in the same family of dealerships so I’ll be able to get some sort of discount. All I got from them was that they would update me once they got more info.
I live in NoCo and will be getting mine from Longmont (Barbie) Ford also.

Then I guess my 30+ years of sales and marketing have misled me.

So if a buyer can't deal, then I guess every single person gets the exact same deal, right? So then why are there car salespeople involved in the process? Why not just let people place their orders on the Ford site and pick them up without talking to a salesperson at all?

So I know this isn’t how it’s going to be with the bronco.
But isn’t this exactly how Tesla does it?
I think a lot of places are going that way.
The price is what is listed, no more no less.
I like to haggle so not a big fan of that. But I see why people like it.

wouldn’t be surprised if car lots really dwindle over the next 10 years with all the internet buying. Lowers cost for all. Less employees, overhead, etc.

Yep, I agree, this is where the industry is headed. But right now we see dealerships offering $1000 to $2000 below MSRP straight out of the gate, so you know they have some wiggle room.

I own and bought a Tesla 4 years ago, it was the simplest and most stress free buying situation I ever experienced. Sure you can’t haggle, but it’s all straight forward, everyone gets the same deal. It eliminates discrimination and any other factors. Point, click, buy, drive.

Just saw this thread... I'm in Castle Pines and my reservation was assigned to Medved Castle Rock. I'm waiting until close to the deadline to go with the CO dealership that has the best offer.

Would be cool to get together once we have our Broncos so will keep an eye on this thread.

Just found this thread. I live in the Morrison/Indian Hills area west of Denver, and my reservation is with Phil Long Ford in Denver. The "Bronco specialist" there started texting me like a half hour after I made my reservation. So far he's been very helpful/responsive and answered all my questions quickly (accepts X-plan, no ADM, etc). I have X-plan through my employer, so I was planning on doing that, but also eyeing Granger (just can't decide if the 10 hour drive is worth it yet).

I'd be down to try for a group buy deal at a Colorado (or even WY or NM) dealer if someone is putting one together.

I'm going to be switching my order from a dealership here in south Denver to Granger before the end of October as required. Albert said they have 30 reservations from Colorado right now, so people are definitely going to make the trip.

Who knows if any dealer here in Colorado will be willing to cut a deal like Granger. I just figured we'll make it a family road trip.
