I missed that when watching the video the other day before I went in to test drive one yesterday. I didn’t realize they’d said that, so I’ll watch it again. Thanks.
He doesnt have to say it, LR is notorious for having air suspensions fail.
Maybe they fixed it? idk

Clearly I’ve not done my homework; I was not aware that was a known issue. Just did a quick google search and saw there is a lot out there to read about that issue. Thank you.

Just make sure you get an extended warranty and you should be ok. A long one.
For a new defender to make sense you have to keep it long term or the depreciation kills ya and you need a warranty.

Im not sure its so easy to lift an air suspension.
Have you checked that out?
Actually yes. It's only a 1.5" lift, but Johnson Rods makes high quality links for $165 that take about 10 minutes to install.

I'm still very much on the fence as well. Read through a lot of reviews from new Defender 110 owners from June 2020 to current. 50% were very positive; 50% were quite negative. Lots of issues requiring extended time back at the dealership. That's concerning for me period, but even more so due to not having a dealership in town.

It’s weird. I a saw one a few weeks ago and thought it looked way better. If the 90 was out I would have probably bought one by now.
I'm not talking smack here.....

I came out of the bar and was like ohhh look a Bentley SUV. Then I saw the logo and obviously realized it was a Defender. Some guys left the bar and came towards me, gawking all weird I didn't budge continued scanning. Too bubbly from the back. It was black on black so the weird rear side box things half blended in. Just not for me. Too roundy, too much plastic.

Took my wife to look at one today and she loved it.
Both of us loved the refinement of the cabin, adjustable ride hgt and overall fit and finish.
Supposedly im gonna get a call when he has one on the floor that isnt presold for a test drive.

Most of the issues they have been having with the defender is in the software.
They will sort that stuff out.

Update - slept on it - getting my $1K back. Still on Bronco fence.

Put $1K refundable deposit down on one today - told dealer to let me sleep on it. I’m leaning toward buying it - weird if I get to order bank opening day and buy another vehicle.

Buy a Defender when you could be driving a Bronco?

Why would you pay more for an inferior product? I had an old 78 Bronco. It brought more smiles per mile than any defender ever could have.

I promise you in 5 years of owning a new Bronco you will look back on the Defender and thank the gods you didn’t buy a dreary overweight sled to inpress the neighbors at the country club.

buy a Bronco, go scare yourself and get busy making memories. Plus, the Bronco’s look better with dents and scratches.
