SO . . . ?

It's been pretty well known the vehicle would not arrive any time soon . . . it's all about patience. IMO it is more than worth the wait - but then I am not stranded without a vehicle. Do what you've got to do! (personally - I'd get a bike or some new NIke's before I'd ever buy a jeep . . . but that's just me!)

Don’t cancel your order. You should find out next month when you would get your Bronco. If you find out that it will take longer than you can deal with, then buy the Jeep.

And even then don’t cancel your order. Keep the Bronco order active in case you later decide that you would rather have the Bronco.

I’m pretty close to cancelling my order.

I’m working from home and don’t actually own a car. Just Languishing here.

The bronco was supposed to be my ticket to freedom. driving with the Top off, out in the wilds (outside my house!). It was the therapy I badly needed.

The delays are making me think again. I can’t spend the summer working from home without a car. I may end up with a jeep, that I can actually have in time for summer.
Have you checked out foresters?

if you're in this model year allocation with your dealer, I'd day wait until end of May, when we all should know about when to expect our rides. If you then see it'll be December, take it from there. If you already know you're next year, different scenario.

Or - go check out what's available in used Wranglers with decent mileage in your area, buy one, drive it, sell it with not too much loss once your Bronco shows up. Unless you trash it or put thousands of miles on it, you should be able to sell it without taking too much of a hit and you'll be cruising around all summer getting that therapeutical wind in your har and sun in your face. Don't even have to spend too much unless you plan on some hard trails, a well kept JK will provide lots of fun and should be available at a decent price. Something to look into maybe?

And forget the snarky remarks, sounds like you're looking for something fun to take you out of the house, away from your home office and into the wild. Just look and see what might be out there at a price you can justify. That's what I'd do.

Good luck!

If you’ve ordered already is it possible to request a 2022 or too late now?
Have your dealer move your priority code to "99" ...puts it on indefinite hold.

And forget the snarky remarks, .
people are crushing it with the awesome jokes!!I

thank you for your comment. I’m struggling here, with the decision yes, but really with a kind of proto depression from what has become of my life this past year.

I was looking at taking over an unwanted lease. There are websites and apps that help match people for that.

I’ve got 2 Bronco’s right now a 78 and a 79. I’m looking forward to a new one. I’m waiting on the 4 door Badlands edition in Area 51. Ready to rest it off road.

Really hope you can hold out.
