Dash speaker upgrade.

Just thought I would share a little upgrade I did. When working on the stereo I came across some dash pods. I decided to try my hand at making my own. These are 3d printed. They have taken me hundreds of hours to design as I created them from scratch without a 3d scanner.

The first ones are in My wife's outer banks. They have Dayton rs100's and nd75 tweeters in them.

I have since created a couple more sets for some other guys. I have done Audiofrog GB40's, Morel ultima, and audison voca. The largest speaker to date is a Morel 424(still printing these ones right now.) The green color is a test piece for the Morel 424's.

Looks great. Are they easy to wire up off the existing wire harness? Did you change forecast to accommodate for the extra tweeters?

I am using a seperate amp so they are not using thr factory wiring. It is very possible to do with factory wiring as well. I did change the signal with forscan to remove all the factory crossovers though.

Oh wow that looks great! I may hit you up, as my Morel's right now are on a huge shim to make them fit, and I broke the clip on one of the OEM covers a while back and have to keep regluing it every time I pull it back off. Your cover would fix two issues at once, and looks good to boot.

Pa-cf. Then coated with a uv clear coat.

Very nice! I like that it seems to seal the backside of the speakers, directing backside sound down into the dash, rather than let it leak right out the top.

These are in my raptor and. Can attest that these are awesome and really improve the sound quality. They are much more rigid than the factory mounting. You will get much clearer sound. If you have spent more than 50$ on speakers, you need these to get the sound you paid for.

On the factory wiring, you can run a coax, but there is only wiring there for a single channel so if you are going to run an active component set you will need to run wiring, if passive you can use the factory wiring.

Thank you. They look great in there. I thought it was just my imagination that they sounded better having the driver up out of the hole in the dash.
