Dealer installed license plate bracket into the grill

Unless you specifically told them not to do it, you can’t really be mad at the dealership. They’re just doing what they are supposed to do

That's kind of how I felt, my fault for not saying anything, But PA does not require front plate (yet give the retards running the state time) so I did not think of that...

I advised them to ask the customer prior to mounting. They have a ford Gt on their showroom floor and I asked if they would mount a license plate bracket to that and they said no

I was lucky to avoid this. Bought a bracket on amazon for around $30 on sale. Am happy with it, but it might not stand up to real off road abuse...

I would have a fit. I was lucky and my dealer handed me the bracket and said if you want it installed, let me know, otherwise leave it be. It is in my junk pile

Sadly, my replacement Bronco was from a State that requires front plates and came in "used" with 15 miles on the odometer and two holes drilled in the same spot. One day, I'll have some body work done and those holes will be banished.

Im sorry to hear that. I'm in a state that requires front plates, I was adamate they didnt attach it, dealer said they're only required to give you the bracket. I'd ask the salesman to replace it. Though dont think they will. Sorry again.

I live in a State that requires them. When I went to pick up my Bronco, my sales guy said “you’re required to have a front license plate, but we would have to drill holes to put it on. Or you can just keep the plate in your trunk and hope you don’t caught.” I went with the latter and 1 year later no issues from law enforcement. I think I was lucky that the sales gave me the option. I’m not surprised some dealers just drill it on, when required by the State.

I just spoke with the dealership and they admitted that there is a waiver form for the customer to sign that releases liability and are not required to install bracket. I would understand if the Bronco was sitting on the lot but to be assigned prior to build they should ask. should be common sense

Had this happen once. Ordered a mustang in Florida and told them to not drill it because I was taking it immediately out of state to GA.

A truck with a set of mustangs arrived and the tech took out all the brackets from all the trunks and started drilling in line. He was two short, but mine wasn’t one of the last two.

Dealer wouldn’t fix it so I walked. I hope your experience is better

I live in a state that requires 2 plates, luckily they didn’t install it.. Bracket and my front plate are just sitting in the back. I will figure out something to say when and if I get pulled over..

When I ordered my 22 Raptor that is now a 23 and a year later I specified not to mount the front plate and also not to wash vehicle and to me is as important as I have seen some bad wash jobs and lots of swirl marks on new paint. Since my order is almost built I purchased a plate relocation bracket and going to drop it off at the dealer before the unit arrives.
