What's to stop them from making up a new fee or adding something else in after once you are locked into the dealership?

Would X-Plan even prevent something like that?
With their signature on the order / price out sheet and all stipulations on it..
  • Price
  • All associated fees, taxes etc.
  • Any accessories you agree to
  • Deposit ramifications (refundable/non refundable)
Have to be a fairly shady dealership to do other than agreed upon...

If that were to happen I believe a phone call to corporate letting them know may dissuade them from doing it further...

X-plan would most definitely fix the price...

And by using X-Plan, does that also ensure, dare I say guarantee, that "any accessories you agree to" are also charged at invoice, not at dealer-imposed markup?

Hey Albert, sorry if I missed it elsewhere...what is the Granger business model re the above?
Zach (the owner) wants his business to be open, fair and completely transparent when it comes to the way we handle customer relations.

I am on the Forum to represent that and answer questions posed by the members so that we can all play on a level field.

Unfortunately, I think "mandatory add-ons" are going to be a lot more widespread than people may believe. Dealerships are independent businesses and it is against the law for Ford to mandate price points. The short story is that dealerships can do what they want. That said, there's no doubt in my mind that Ford is doing everything in their power to encourage dealerships to sell the Bronco at MSRP. So, many dealerships will unfortunately get into the "add-on" game. Unwittingly, Ford will be making this a bit easier with the availability of many Ford-labeled aftermarket parts at the time of sale. While pre-ordered Broncos may be slightly more immune to this practice, I'd wager that 50% or more of the Ford dealerships will be finding creative ways to pad the price way North of MSRP.
Sorry no mandatory dealer add-on BS for me. Not paying for something I do not want. I will walk away and find a new dealership.
