Folks that are wanting to wait for a 2022 - How are you and/or your dealer handling that? I have read the stuff about just not converting and your dealer will call you in the summer, but after reading enough posts about dealers being non-communicative about this round of orders (mine has left something to be desired on that front, too) I'm more than a little concerned that come MY2022 order time that "folder with our information" is going to have long disappeared into the circular file. Has anyone's dealer given them specifics about a plan? or are y'all thinking its better to just order a 7-deadly-MY21 and then bank on being able to change to all the MY22 options you want later (I have a late reservation so it is highly unlikely I'd get a MY21 even if I converted)? I'd just like to know how other dealerships are handling/not handling it it before I give my dealer a final answer.

As posted on here time and time again, convert your reservation and have the dealer code it as a 99. When the 22 banks open up, the dealer can make any changes and then move out of 99

From Ford:

If a customer wants to wait for 22MY Bronco features, should they convert their reservation to an order? We recommend, with customer consent, the dealer coverts the order and leaves it in the order bank untouched with a 99 priority code so that it does not schedule. Using the remarks section in WBDO, see below, the dealership should notate “22MY Wait” for these customers.

I told my dealer my intentions via an email conversation. I will order when 2022 details come out in late summer. I see no reason to place an order for a build I am unsure about, and that will surely change later on. I’m not at all worried about the dealer losing my Ford reservation information. I will see how the whole reservation thing works with my 7/14 1:30 a.m. timestamp. If someone with a later timestamp gets ahead of me, so be it.

I’m not going to play the ”99” game or any other game. I’ll rely on Ford and my dealer to do their best to get me a Bronco when they can.

Zen calm. Namaste.

p.s. July 14th, 2020. Wow, 7 months goes really fast! Seems like just yesterday I was at my computer cursing Ford and their damn reservation website.

I made my reservation on Feb 15th, 2021 and I got an Email from my Dealer the same day after couple of hours and I have talked to the Bronco Specialist on Feb 16th and told her that I want to wait for MY22 and not to go for MY21 and she said, Ok then I will be in touch when the Order Banks Open in May '21 if there is any delay by Oct/Nov.

I said, thank you so much.

**(I got the above information from broco6g:cool:)

@StephensAutoCenter has done a great job communicating about how they are handling deferrals to 22. They post here in the forums and regularly send email updates. They also answer questions if you call them and have been going down the list calling all reservation holders in order.
