5 Dealership size/ number of orders. - not a huge factor but if your ordering a bronco from BFE dealership it might take A little longer than city center mega dealer.
Hmmm. Hadn't considered this. Not really BFE, but a small dealership compared to bigger city 45 minutes away.

I ordered two Broncos.
the plan was to only get one, and divide my order in the terms of trim level.
But now, I think I could realistically order a baseSquatch, and the 2doorBD I want, and flip one a month after I have both; for probably a surprising return. Either way I’d hedge my bet on what trim gets me a Bronco sooner and I like cars enough, and might be crazy enough, to enjoy having em both for a minute.
what would someone pay for a Silver BaseSquatch that I ordered at 11pm?
probably 40+
Silly stuff, I know.

I ordered a 6.2 raptor. Some guy had a link where you could follow the train car. Really was insanity. Just wait until they call and then go pick it up, and hope they don't tack on any stupid extras.

The pattern between order and delivery is difficult to figure out. When I ordered my Raptor in Sept of 2017, I ordered it from a smaller dealer I’d dealt with before and it took 3 months to the day from the day I ordered it to the day it came in and I picked it up..

When I went to RaptorAssault, I talked to a guy who ordered his around when I ordered mine, and it took him 8 months to get it. There are two F150 plants, but all Raptors are built at the Rouge plant in Dearborn, so it wasn’t a difference in where the two were built.

I'm pretty late to the ressie party unfortunately, but it's ok - I feel pretty good about no car payment right now and potentially the next year or so - especially with 2 in college. I don't know if my wife and friends will be able to tolerate me talking about my "fictional" vehicle for all that time, but that'll equate to some solitude for me and the dog, LOL. I don't know that I can recall having this much excitement about a new vehicle for me, and I've had some pretty good cars over the years.

So the timeline has become more clear, as well as the total reservations. THIS IS ALL SPECULATION

So there has been roughly 240,000 total reservations. And here at Bronco6G we have roughly 2,400 going to members. or 1/100
if I looked at the chart we have correctly about 2/3 (66.67%) or 1600 of you reserved your bronco within the first 48 hours (8pm 7/13-8pm 7/15) if that’s true for the entire USA we might be in for an interesting summer next year and here’s why.

figure only 2/3 (66.67%) will go through with ordering and purchasing. So 160,000. And 2/3 reserved that first 48 hours. So just over 100,000.

ford said deliveries will start in June 2021 (targeted) And extend into 2022. for the sake of this info I will guess it will end before the new year. So that’s 7 months to get all 160,000 out. Or 23,000 a month.

so it will take over 4 MONTHS (June - September) to deliver all the broncos ordered within those first 48 hours.
meaning If you ordered just 1 hour after someone else it could take a week longer to get yours.

BUT that’s we’re things get foggy.
Because Delivery’s will go in order AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE to reservations.
however there are many factors at work.

1 Reservation Time - First in first out
2 First Editions - self explanatory
3 packaging (Body Style, Engine, Trim) - ford will try to build similar set ups at the same time.
4 Geographical location - where you are at will make a difference in time of delivery. People in the mid west will get their broncos before someone that orders at the same time as some one on the west cost.
5 Dealership size/ number of orders. - not a huge factor but if your ordering a bronco from BFE dealership it might take A little longer than city center mega dealer.

all of those factors aside from time of reservation could add a couple days To delivery.

dealer size and location is the main reason why you will be locked into your dealer on October 31st so ford can work out the logistics.

it will be interesting to see how long it actually takes ford to pump out all of these Broncos. Because 20-25,000 units a Month is a TALL ASK.
Don’t expect all the First Editions to be built all at once. You need a good mixture of models due to supply chain and storage racks for individual parts .

A couple of comments from my perspective...

Conversion from reservations to true orders would be extraordinary at even 20-30%. I don't think it will be as high as 50%.

Yes, customer orders will be prioritized but simultaneously Ford will be building and delivering dealer orders. It won't be all customer orders, then dealer orders. Maybe something like 80/20 at the beginning (favoring customer orders).

Ford screwed up their Explorer launch. The Bronco and F-150 launches are critical for the business.

And remember assembly plants are dependent on parts - this is the real challenge that Ford is working through in order to estimate and execute against.

The levers they can push and pull are:
- Building internal component inventories to provide a buffer and eliminate any shortages that could stop production
- Providing suppliers with forecast of quantities and required delivery dates and details to support the line
- Plan production based on combination of reservation, model details and material availability. The logistics of pushing product to dealerships is much easier to decouple and isn't the actual bottleneck for the operation

I expect pricing to have more impact on converting reservations to orders than timing. COVID-19 social distancing provides those in the market for a vehicle potential to save money and have social media keep refueling the interest.

Incorrect, dealer stock won't wet the lines until reservations are built, per Ford. I think you are right about reservation conversion however. $100 is a very low barrier to entry and I think most reservations will fail to convert to orders.

I personally do not think reservation number will have anything to do with order or especially delivery time line. Lets just say the person with reservation #1 says “just a second while I get everything in order”. Do you think anyone is going to wait on this guy! No way No how is that happening. They have trucks to build and sell!

I hope Ford gives us delivery estimates before we order the car. Currently I don't have a car, & my lease ends summer next year.

If Ford delays my car into Q4 or beyond, I'm not buying it.

That’s why there is a window of time to convert you reservation into an order in December. Ford has clearly said the the are going produce the Broncos in the order of the reservations with adjustments for productivity.

Can you tell me where this protocol is stated and if not, how long is this window?
